The cabin is set in a peaceful area, within close driving distance to beautiful waterfalls and mountains. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay on the Golden Circle. The cabin is perfect in any season, not only the summer time. In the winter you can enjoy the northern lights in the hot tub and in the autumn the colors of nature are amazing and wild berries to be found. The cabin has a joint living, dining and kitchen area. Main bedroom is suitable for two adults (double bed 160 cm). Second bedroom has a smaller bed (120 cm), suitable for 2 children or very close friends. Loft has two mattresses. Outside is a big patio where you can eat out in nice weather or relax in the hot tub. In all it is possible to accommodate 6 persons, but more comfortable for 5. Bathroom has a shower.

Met recht een “cozy cabin” in de Golden Circle! Huisje was super compleet, de hottub was heerlijk na een dagje op pad te zijn geweest. Wat heerlijke lekkernijen bij aankomst, genoeg “basis” boodschappen om te kunnen koken. De vide was knus en fijn dat er zo 3 slaap”kamers” zijn. Valla is echt een fantastische host. Heeft ons veel informatie en tips gegeven en reageerde altijd snel, top communicatie! Vanuit de cabin zijn veel mooie plekken goed bereikbaar. Het noorderlicht te zien op onze laatste avond was echt een fantastisch cadeautje!
Really lovely home, warm. We stayed when there was snow everywhere which for us was perfect. Gullfoss and geysers very close. Lovely playing in the hot tub with the kids with snow all around us and snowing on us! Loved the stay! Thank you for having us!
We hebben hier een geweldig verblijf gehad met drie volwassenen en ons zoontje van 3. het huisje is prettig en van alles voorzien je hoeft nergens aan te denken. Zelfs voor ons zoontje was er wat speelgoed en er zijn leuke bordspellen. De ligging is dichtbij de golden cirkel en tegelijk heel rustig. De hottub is heerlijk en een feest voor kinderen. De keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien, waardoor we ons eten zelf konden bereiden. Wij hebben hier een top week gehad! Bedankt :D
We were so happy with our stay at the cabin. It was the perfect place to start out adventures from. The cabin has everything you'd need for a stress free stay. The radiant heated flooring was WONDERFUL, as it was very cold outside for part of our stay. We also appreciated that the neighborhood had a security gate that only allowed residents and approved visitor access. The snacks left for us was very thoughtful and appreciated!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Valla’s cozy cottage. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a beautiful views. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby attractions in Golden Circle, we were also lucky to see the Northern lights from the hot tub! Also, the communication was always quick and helpfull. Overall, we would highly recommend this accommodation to others!

The cabin is in the middle of The Golden Circle, you can easily access main attractions on The Golden Circle by car from the cabin (Gullfoss, Geysir, Þingvellir) and many other beautiful areas, f.ex. Brúarárfoss, Gjáin and Brúarhlöð and a little further away (but also easily a daytrip, back and forth) Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Reynisfjara (the black beach), Dyrhólaey and Sólheimajökull, to mention a few.
Close by, by car, are two natural hot-springs, set in the middle of nature. As well as more commercial geothermal spa's and pool's.
For foodies, some restaurants can be recommended, I especially recommend the tomato-farm Friðheimar (restaurant focuses on tomatoes and is set in a green-house) and Farmers-bistro, a mushroom farm that focuses on...mushrooms!
