Costa Rica's setback laws requires that lake front properties maintain a specific distance from lakes or ocean shorelines. This is to protect the environment and safe guard against floods. It is mandated that all shoreline remain public and accessible solely through designated areas. Access to the lake is facilitated exclusively through a boat dock. Please note that this property is designated as residential and not as commercial or a hotel. Concierge services are not provided. Basic amenities such as 2 rolls of toilet paper, towels, soap, etc. are provided as a courtesy; however, guests will need to purchase their own supplies thereafter. Tenants are also required to store garbage in the large trash can outside of the property.

Staying on Lake Arenal was the best part of our 4 month trip to Costa Rica. The house is in beautiful surroundings. The hosts responded quickly to any questions we had. We enjoyed the community pool and of course the varied wildlife, especially the birds. The house was probably too big for our needs but we had chosen the place for the location. Nearby Tronadora is a lovely village and the road around the lake provides access many great places to eat and sites to see. We would consider staying at Buena Vista in the future. Pura Vida

This home was a relaxing get away from my normal city lifestyle. It was wonderful being close to the water. Louis was very quick to respond to any of my questions as well as accommodate me for absolutely anything I needed ! It was such a pleasure staying at this beautiful home.
Location & cleanliness were superb. We were disappointed with the kitchen amenities (no spices, condiments, or paper towels) and the appliances (dishwasher not secured in its cabinet, very rough drawers, minimal cooking utensils). In addition, during the 2 nights we were there the electricity went out one evening and there was no water for a few hours one morning.
Beautiful home and surroundings. Host was very responsive. We hope to stay here again. Very good value. Great pool

You would be landing at the Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport in Liberia, which is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes away from the residence. Playas del Coco, a splendid beach, is also situated in Liberia.
It's a 1.5-acre property. Access to the lake can be obtained through the public boating dock, which is approximately a three-minute walk from the front door. You can enjoy activities such as swimming, jet skiing, paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and boat rides.
The property is situated in a charming town that offers all the expected amenities. For your convenience, basic provisions such as milk, eggs, and bread can be purchased at a local convenience store just 2 drive minutes away. Alternatively, you can drive 10 minutes to the centre of town where you will find local grocery stores, banks, bakeries, butchers, fruit stores, pharmacies, and other amenities.
The property is conveniently located on the SW side of the lake between two major destinations: Monteverde and La Fortuna. These destinations offer various activities such as zip-lining, hot springs, and visits to the Arenal Volcano. After experiencing the hustle and bustle of these well known centers, you will be delighted to retreat to the tranquility of our waterfront lake community.
The vicinity in which the property is situated is tranquil and secure. It serves as an excellent starting point to discover all that the Guanacasta Province has to offer. Most notably, it is situated on the shores of one of the country's most significant and arguably most stunning natural wonders, Lake Arena. Our community is the sole lakefront community on Lake Arenal.
The issue of parking at the residence is non-existent as we have ample space to accommodate up to four or even five cars. Additionally, for individuals who do not possess a vehicle or would rather not drive, we offer the convenience of a personal driver. This driver is at your disposal for airport transportation, excursions, and running errands. It is worth noting that our driver is a retired American gentleman.
