Tanyia and Rod are amazing hosts! They gave us recommendations for places to eat, checked in on us, gave my mom an amazing massage and when our car got a flat, they assisted us in getting it resolved.
Tanyia and Rod were the most memorable hosts. They catered to our every wish. The surroundings were so peaceful. The accommodation was large and had many outdoor spaces to relax. We would 100% recommend this place.
What stood out most about this place was definitely the scenic views and tranquil atmosphere. It was so amazing to wake up in this beautiful environment. The home itself is in a gated community and had a clubhouse with great amenities and infinity pool overlooking another idyllic scene. The hosts were super communicative and responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. Everyone in our group agreed this is one home we’d be back to. Wish we had extended our stay!

Vistas Del Lago is a uniquely designed gated community overlooking beautiful Lake Arenal and Vulcan Arenal. Enjoy breathtaking views of the mountainside while listening to toucans croaking, parrots chirping and monkeys howling in the trees, some of which may be on the property you are staying in. We are blessed to have a Clubhouse with an exercise room, saltwater pool, and common area. There is a part-time restaurant that offers breakfast 3 days a week and has a wonderful area with a TV and a large selection of books and videos.
Our community is comprised of ex-pat and national residents alike. Some residents live here year-round while for others this is their vacation home.
Our sense of community is what makes Vistas Del Lago the premier gated community at Lake Arenal. Each homesite within Vistas is a minimum of 1.5 acres which provides wonderful privacy and tranquility. Take part in the activities at the clubhouse or enjoy your own solitude, the choice is always yours.
So many activities to do at Lake Arenal, kayaking, boating, horseback riding, biking, hot springs, yoga, spiritual and healing centers, pickleball and tennis, bicycling, hiking, and of course relaxing and enjoying massages and the peace and tranquility.

A vehicle is absolutely recommended should you decide to visit us. However we have had guests who came without one and we can recommend driving services to get you out and about as needed.
We are only 3 miles from the picturesque town of Tronadora, with the prettiest park in Guanacaste, where you can find everything you need including, a grocery store, butcher, bakery, liquor, 2 restaurants, and for those looking for the nightlife, there is also a bar.
An easy 1.5 hour drive from Liberia Airport and 3 hours from San Jose. If arriving in San Jose with less than 3 hours of daylight we recommend that you stay over near the airport and get a fresh start in the morning. Most of the roads are paved however not well marked and there are lots of twists and turns.
We have plenty of parking area.

Rod and I are passionate about traveling, serving others, and pickleball. We’ve been married 35 years, have 2 married sons, 2 beautiful daughter-in-love’s, 2 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, as well as a grandson who has gained his angel wings. We believe in living joyfully, in service to others. We love to hear other’s life adventures and the stories that have led them to Costa Rica, the most magical place this side of heaven (that we know of).
