I would highly recommend staying at Latitude over the other options in town. The accommodations are cozy and comfortable. It’s the best breakfast in Barrow.

The hosts are awsome! Very hospitable and friendly. By far, one of the cleanest and most organized Airbnbs I've been to. I definitely recommend it, if you like a nice, quiet and cozy place to stay. They also serve some really good breakfast and dinner.

My stay was excellent in many ways, and I'll try to keep it concise. Myron and Susan were very welcoming and upon arrival, offered dinner (lasagna that night at a reasonable cost) which was very delicious as it the rest of their cooking. During my stay, I felt almost like family, appreciated the many helpful suggestions they shared on the area, and learned wonderful things about their life experiences and interests. The 2nd floor room (twin) was very comfortable with plenty of space to put my clothes and luggage and had nice shelf-sink addition, and I slept well at night. The blind system during the 24-hour daylight kept the room nicely dark during the "night". The room had a nice view of the street area, distant lagoon, various snow machines travelling by. The house was very comfortable and beautiful with their widely varied decor from local native art and their other collections adorning the walls and space. As a mechanical engineer, I also appreciated the construction and HVAC/E system of the house. The entrance was very spacious to store our shoes and coats, and with a door code, allowed me to come and go as I please (which they didn't mind). The homecooked food they offered was very delicious and filling with sizeable portions, and the lasagna is 2nd only to my mom's. The Utqiagvik/Barrow riding tour (a reasonable additional cost) was a fun and informative experience with Myron's and Susan's huge wealth of information on the tour, and Susan treated me to ice cream. Many thanks to Myron and Susan for the wonderful and welcoming stay as not only are they excellent hosts, they are amazing people with a heart for others and for the communities in which they live and visit. If I return, this will be my first choice among Utqiagvik/Barrow accomodations.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Barrow. I do not think that my trip would have been nearly as eventful or productive had I stayed at a hotel. The hosts were exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable about the local area, and very well traveled themselves. We had a number of great conversations and I learned a great deal about Barrow from them. The house itself was impeccably clean (the cleanest I've been in) and full of a lot of very interesting pieces of art and reminders of the hosts' travels. Bed was comfortable, with a tv in the room, and internet worked well for me to check emails and such. Very easy to transition from bundled up mode outside to cozy mode inside with their entrance halls. Breakfast was served daily (it was HUGE, delicious, and incorporated in the price) and there were offers for lunch and dinner too for a fee (which I took them up on two dinners). If I ever come to Barrow again I will be looking to book here first! Can't recommend highly enough! Pro tip... make sure you have cash when you arrive in Barrow. Many of the businesses operate on cash only (including the cabs which cost about $6 to get to their house). I didn't have cash when I arrived and the hosts were gracious enough to spot me until I could make it to the ATM.
