The easiest way to get there from Ubud is to turn left off the main street in front of the Arjuna statue. The distance between Kintamani and Ubud is 35 kilometers and it will take you 40-50 minutes. Along the way you will come across a village of artisans, rice terraces, coffee and tangerine plantations, and spice plantations. From the south there are roads from Bangli and Besakih. From the north there is a road from Singaraja. To enter Kintamani by any of the roads you will have to pay about $1. It is worth keeping your ticket, as you may be asked to show it more than once.
