This was a perfect place for my husband and I to stay in while in the area. Very clean and cozy home. Bathrooms are well stocked with nice towels and washcloths!! It would’ve been fun to bake if we had more time there as the kitchen had nice dishes, pots and pans, spices, all the little things you don’t take along on a trip, so thoughtful. Even all the stuff for s’mores, tho it was too cold and windy for a fire outside. Would be a great place to stay at in the summer with all the toys. Last but not least, the cute little note and jar with salted maple caramel was a sweet touch. The caramel was the BEST!!!!
Host was very friendly and responsive. They left a delicious jar of Michigan Salted Maple Caramel and a thank you note … a nice, welcoming touch. House was very clean and well kept. Kitchen was fully stocked with all utensils and kitchen ware. Beautiful setting with private beach access, just a few feet from the pristine lake. Definitely would stay here again the next time I am in MI.
I felt like I walked into a family home. The house is very inviting. It was clean and they took the time to think of all the little details from having "emergency food" to all the fun kitchen gadgets you can think of. The view is AMAZING and sells itself. We loved having coffee in the screened porch and listening to the waves as well as using the bike trails headed towards Roger City...we couldn't resist visiting the bakery we've heard so much about. The bike trails are extensive and nice to use and I would imagine that once the fall colors pop we could ride our bikes all day long. We will be back and can't wait to see the house in each season for the outdoor things that we haven't been able to do yet. I'm hoping that winter will provide good opportunities for snow shoeing and to be able to check out the Famous Mackinaw blue ice.
beautiful place to get away!
We had a wonderful stay right on Lake Huron. My children loved walking out to the beach. The added amenities of games and sporting items were very nice. The extras in the kitchen were wonderful. We had a great stay!
