The romantic lodge enjoys an elevated position, overlooking the Ennerdale Valley. The area is awash with walking trails, with the Coast to Coast Walk passing just 3 miles from the property and the shores of Ennerdale Water just 5 miles away. Keen walkers can also take on the challenge of Catbells (25 miles) or Scafell Pike (19 miles). In the evenings, fire up the pizza oven and soak in the hot tub under the dark skies of the Lake District National Park. A flight of stairs leads to the lodge. Once inside, discover an open-plan living area that’s decorated in a contemporary style, with quirky touches throughout. To the rear of the lodge is a double bed and a Smart TV for enjoying lazy mornings catching up on your favourite programmes. There is also a cleverly designed kitchen area, along with a sofa and table for two. A separate shower room completes the accommodation. The outside area really has the wow factor, with a choice of seating areas, a hot tub, and a fire pit. There is also an al fresco kitchen area, with a BBQ and pizza oven, and, if all that’s not enough, there’s also a private sauna in the log cabin! Soak up the peace and tranquillity of the landscape, on a relaxing walk at Ennerdale Water. This is the most westerly, and most remote, of all the lakes in the national park, and is the perfect place to get away from it all. As well as beautiful waterside strolls, you can also follow tracks deep into the surrounding forest. Alternatively, head to the coast for a day on the sandy beach at St Bees (6 miles). Blow away the cobwebs on a clifftop walk at St Bees Head, or marvel at the wildlife at the RSPB nature reserve.
