Firstly Dave is an excellent host, very communicative and kind. He’s cut no corners when it comes to the air bnb itself. The aesthetic and amenities are all done to the highest spec and it all felt very luxurious yet comfortable, we really enjoyed the space a lot, it was faultless. Our only feedback would be that the bunk beds are very small (kids bunks). Luckily two of our friends are petite otherwise a bigger adult would have struggled. We also feel for the price of the air bnb that the hot tub should be included, we opted out as we didn’t feel we could justify £50 per head more for the use of the hotub. Aside from those minor details we would highly recommend and revisit. The surrounding area seemed sweet, we didn’t do much exploring due to weather but found a good few coffee spots along the beach and the people seemed friendly. It was very peaceful and quiet outside the air bnb. We would definitely revisit and explore more along the beach when the weather is better.

We had the most wonderful weekend. The house is so beautiful and well designed, staying there was utter luxury. The house was so clean and had such amazing attention to detail, everything had been thought about so carefully. We had such a relaxing weekend of sea swimming, walking, cooking delicious food and relaxing in the hot tub. Dave was super friendly and helpful. He let us check in early and out late. We would love to come back.

I thought the house was very modern and it certainly was warm and private inside. We found all the bed mattresses way too hard to sleep on though bedding and towels were good. The immediate area is really not very nice though as houses are really jammed in all around you and for the price one would expect better surrounds. Any prospective stayers should look on google maps to see this. The beach is pebbles and okaaay. Basically I think it is overpriced based on these observations. The host Dave was excellent.

Myself and 3 girl friends stayed at Downhouse for the weekend and from the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the luxury of the house. All the usual amenities were top tier but it was the added smaller touches that meant we actually didn’t leave the house as much as we had initially planned! A perfect bolt hole for those looking to escape a busy city life, enjoy walks on the beach (a 30 second walk away), relax in the hot tub, make use of the bath salts Dave kindly left, cook yummy food in the kitchen where no utensil was missing or play one of the many games provided - there is no part of you left wanting! Definitely a booking you won’t regret!
