Mary's place is absolutely beautiful, up a redwood-filled valley but just a quick drive away from all of the beauty of carmel and big sur. The property is a series of delightful small houses, all private for the guests - a main building with a kitchen, living room and loft, a yurt with the nicest bed, an outhouse (well appointed! Not rustic, just separate building, which we were not aware of before visiting) and an art studio. There's a hot tub, and its just beautiful. We were there for a pretty rainy weekend and it was fantastic for us, and would be even better in bright sunshine. Great hot tub, a nice gas grill for cooking, a warming wood stove, it was fantastic. It is close to trails, Mary is a great communicator, and had a lot of great recommendations.

Mary’s Airbnb was the perfect private getaway for our honeymoon! Check-in was super easy and everything was exactly as described. We especially enjoyed the yurt and the hot tub. The Airbnb was the perfect home base for exploring Big Sur!

We had such a wonderful stay at Mary’s place. It was very peaceful and romantic, just what we needed. We wished we could have stayed longer, but a weekend was just enough to relax and re-energize. We will definitely come back again! Thank you Mary for everything!

Like many other reviewers have mentioned, Mary’s glass house in the forest was absolutely magical. It’s a quirky little spot with everything you could need. The hot tub was clean and heated for our stay and everything was well stocked and clean. It’s an older spot and surrounded by lush forest, so it’s going to have some critters and dusty corners but if you are somebody who goes in with that expectation, it really isn’t noticeable. We celebrated my fiancé‘s 30th birthday as he say big outdoorsman and it was the happy marriage between camping and not at the same time lol we enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace and the cozy warm lighting. We saw several shooting stars and really loved sleeping in the loft!  we can’t wait to stay here again, thanks, Mari!

Enjoyed a lovely long weekend at Mary's place despite some rainy coastal weather. Got cozy by the fireplace and watched the storm through the large windows with nice views. Great secluded location not too far from Highway 1. Mary was also a very responsive and conscientious host. Would highly recommend.
