This was our 3rd Stay at Joanna's and we can't wait to return! The setting is so beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. Everyone that has joined us there says the same. The only bad part is having to leave!! We have stayed at Sea Ranch and further south at Ocean Cove and have come to realize it is worth the extra few miles north, considerably less traffic and people. We love the private beach but have really enjoyed Schooner Gulch and bowling ball beach. Schooners Gulch was more easily accessible for people less able to navigate steep trails. Bowling ball is a steep walk down but worth it especially at a minus tide. The little grocery in Anchor bay has a mindboggling selection of items of high quality and much of it local or local ish (Sonoma County). We have yet to feel the need to go to the grocery store in Gualala. We so appreciated the pets allowed policy as we needed to bring our cat due to construction at home. She had the BEST time of all of us I think.

We love this home! we are returning guests when we need a family retreat away from the city. The place is complete with a stellar book collection, the most beautiful location and access to a magical private beach. The house is very kid- friendly with board games and puzzles. Thanks for having us back!

Everything was awesome! We thought the beach access was walkable but it’s better to take the short drive there. Totally worth it for the private beach tho! Zero complaints from my group. It was a wonderfully perfect place to reconnect with my friends ❤️

This is just an extraordinary place — have stayed three years in a row and hope we can come back again!! Watched whales from the deck, enjoyed the town of Point Arena, walked to the coves nearby, made it up to Mendocino. Perfect vacation in every way!
