Overall, we loved the place. The purpose of our visit was to be close to the hiking trails of Cuyamaca State Park, so this location is perfect. We were two friends wanting our own bedroom/bathroom. The upstair master bedroom worked great, except for the very large bathroom window with no covering. We are not exhibitionist. I don’t like climbing stairs so I took the downstairs bedroom/bathroom. The downstairs bathroom window also did not have any covering. Kind of odd. Bathrooms had no hooks or bars for your towel/washcloth so you have to drape them over the shower door (or tub). The water pressure was good and temperature was hot. The beds were very comfy. No place to place your cloths in the downstairs bedroom but there was an ironing board, so I used it. We enjoyed the outdoor gas fire pit but the wind was too strong to enjoy for long. The view of the lake is excellent. We didn’t BBQ or use the stove, but the oven, microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator all worked fine.

Arrived to an amazing view. Propane for the fire pit was out. My bro brought up propane & we received $20 discount. The living room there was no blankets or end tables. Ran water for bathtub it was yellow. Both beds,,uncomfortable. BBQ caught on fire since not clean. Told Marina, have additional $20 discount. Told her we only brought food to BBQ so we could enjoy the view. No response. The next day received message “the cleaning People are waiting to clean the house & they know you are still there. Check out time was 1 PM.” I said “we would be out by 1 PM tomorrow. Did you think checkout was today?”Her reply “ my apologies. I had the wrong information” Right before checkout she messaged that the owner offered $70 discount & 10% on our next visit. Mind you this was only for the BBQ & propane issue. Didn’t tell her about other issues cause I hate to complain unless necessary & only received $20 for each incident. Rental only good for view. Wish things would’ve worked out differently.

Beautiful, clean house with the most beautiful view. We loved the fireplaces, and so grateful the heater worked so well on such a cold weekend! Timely and helpful communication from the owner. Highly recommend 10/10

Loved the views. Bottom room mattress very uncomfortable. And headboard would hit the wall every time we moved. Spoke to marina and she agreed to fix asap. Beautiful house. Easy to find and close to town.
