Lovely and comfortable home very close to the beach. Beautiful neighborhood for walking to admire the gardens and architecture. Close drive to downtown Carmel. Would definitely stay again.

We had the best time staying at Sean’s! The worst part of the trip was leaving. We loved how close the beach and scenic views were - being able to walk to the water and see a bunch of otters less than 5 min away was spectacular. We can’t wait to come back!

The place was great: cozy in exactly the right way. It's not a big place, but it had the space we needed. This is clearly a second home for them, and not just some income-generating thing like a lot of things are these days. Sean also had every "small" amenity you could really ask for in someone's home: toys for kids, a variety of chargers, stain remover, even some chocolates and snacks. Lots of little things that totaled to a nice experience. Sean himself was proactive in reaching out with ideas for what to do (including with a young kid). He was friendly and warm in our correspondence (we didn't interact otherwise). You can tell that this was a home that has been the site of many treasured memories for Sean and his family. I very much appreciate the opportunity to stay there, and would gladly take the opportunity again.

Location is fantastic. Very close to ocean and walkable. This was our first time visiting Carmel. This is a cozy efficient house but plenty of space for the 4 in my family. The courtyard is very pleasant with well-taken care of plants and a fountain. Sean communicated very well and had a list of recommended restaurants and things to do. A+ host and A+ property. The only issue we had is that our daughter is allergic to cats and dogs and has asthma. She had wheezing and allergic reaction in the house. She used her inhaler and Zyrtec and was fine. We checked the listing after realizing, and see that pets are allowed. So, this was not Sean’s fault. We should have been more careful picking a place that was pet-free.
