Fabulous location, beach is accessible Dow. A short trail. House is lovely, lots of space, well maintained inside and out. Great for our family, we enjoyed the fire-pit, table tennis and the lookout room in the top of the house. Wonderful.
Fred was an exceptional host - always responsive and helpful. Overall, we loved our stay but here are the pros and cons: Pros: - Large, comfortable space. - Perfect with kids due to the amount of space and some rec equipment (foosball, ping pong, another tv in the rec room for kids) - Beautiful nature setting - Close to the beach - Great amenities (grill, fire pit, and all the essentials) Cons: - No window coverings. While the listing talks about the host choosing not to put coverings to enjoy the nature, the privacy was definitely lacking despite the trees around, especially with large windows in the bathrooms (you will have to take a shower with all lights out at night!). - Beds not very comfortable - For shorter stays value for price diminishes due to higher than normal fees. Otherwise great value for the space. Despite the cons, we look forward to returning because overall it was great!
Perfect secluded location in beautiful Door County. Steps to the dunes and hiking/running trails that we enjoyed. Would love to stay again. The house is large and has beautiful windows and views. Fireplace was such a great amenity!
Fred was a great host. He was very quick to respond to question leading up to our stay at his home. The location was just perfect for us. Nestled away on a quiet residential dead-end street with direct access to the state forest and nearby beach. Thanks!
We had a wonderful time at Fred’s home. The location is spectacular. Great views of Lake Michigan and the Whitefish Bay State Park. Fred was very responsive and accommodating. We will be back!!

My name is Fred - the owner and rental manager. I will answer any questions you may have now and I will also be your 'goto' person during your stay. I spend every Summer of my life in this area and I still can't get enough. Welcome to our 'Slice of Heaven' in Door County. This property has been in our family since my dad purchased it during World War II. Our location is the ABSOLUTE BEST bordering the Whitefish Dunes State Park with a private Sand Beach. Just imagine a Home built in a beautiful State Park. Incredible views with the sounds of the waves crashing at night. If you are adventurous, climb up to the Crow's Nest for incredible views of the State Park and Lake Michigan.
