A "river runs through it," literally. The Flesherton Mill resides on the Boyne River, in the heart of Flesherton, Ontario. The original Woolen Mill was built in 1863 by the son of William Kingston Flesher after whom the village was named. We recently purchased the stunning property and transformed this historical place into two beautiful residences. We love living and shredding here and wanted to create a piece of comfy, high-class paradise for friends and guests to enjoy! Falls Haus is an open-concept living space with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms; one with a large 5-person steam shower. There is a bathtub in the other and all showers have multiple shower heads that can be used simultaneously for when you just need to get "so fresh and so clean." This modern suite boasts a fully stocked open-concept kitchen with Bosch appliances, including an induction stove, fridge with the fastest ice maker on the market and a wine/soda mini fridge. The huge . . . and by huge we mean HUGE granite island with 7 bar stools divides the kitchen and dining area. The dining table (built by Luxedge Furniture) and wrap-around bench have ample seating for 12 guests. A small sitting area outside the kitchen and dining area has a modern futon couch that can be folded into a double bed. This kitchen living space was designed to host and enjoy at the same time! The spacious living room is tucked at the back of the suite, through the custom sliding barn doors and has access to the backyard overlooking the river and private waterfall. A super comfy (sleep-worthy) sectional sofa faces the 75" Smart TV over the electric fireplace. This sofa could easily sleep 2-3 additional guests if needed and is the preferred sleeping location for our two boys and their dad;-) The primary bedroom has large sliding doors that open to the backyard; overlooking the river and waterfall. The room has a king bed with a Douglas mattress, a cozy duvet and lots of pillows, personal storage and a 55" Samsung Frame Smart TV which, when not being used can showcase your favourite pieces of art. The second bedroom is at the front of the suite, with large sliding doors to a patio. This room boasts a queen bed with a Douglas Mattress, a cozy duvet, a 65" Samsung Frame Smart TV and a huge workstation. The office area has a second monitor and dongle for the ones who have to take business on the road and demand 2-screen convenience. The third bedroom is for the kids. The room has large sliding doors that open to the backyard; overlooking the river and waterfall. It hosts two single beds and a small double above the singles, comfy duvets, and a 55" Samsung Frame Smart TV. It also has sunken wall storage and custom drawers for whatever the kids want to hide. Outside the one bathroom is the laundry closet with an LG wash tower for when you want to get your 'wash on.' High-speed internet throughout the unit can easily accommodate all TVs and personal devices as well as special receptacles for device charging and power needs. A Bose blue tooth speaker and multi-colour LED lighting create a fun atmosphere for the nights you want to get your dance on, or you are in a colourful mood. Each room comes with a BT waterproof wireless speaker so you can rock out alone or maybe in the Sauna (shared space) or Hot Tub with no weather worries for your tunes. The Falls Haus is decorated with original pieces of art from local artist Katherine Carson " KATA". A beautiful custom Ski/Snowboard rack sits right outside the front door. A storage locker-style bench, coat racks, and boot dryer make up the entryway. The Flesherton Mill offers many ways to relax besides swimming in the neighbouring pond or dipping your feet in the river: The SHARED OUTDOOR SPACE includes a sauna nestled in the woods beside the river; or cozy up in your warmest flannel and sit in the "Georgian Bay Chair Co" Muskoka Chairs by the large fire pit beside the river. Hungry? A BBQ is ready to go for when you get those fresh steaks from "Maxwell Meats" just down the road. The Flesherton Mill design and renovation were inspired by the Riders Palace in LAAX, Switzerland; Peppers in Gold Coast Australia, and of course the "Beaver Valley Lifestyle." We love amazing comfortable places to stay where hosts go above and beyond for convenience and quality. We wanted this unit to represent some of our favourite things we have seen around the world. With the talent and expertise of Caleb Bosse from Bosse Contracting, the Landscaping of Purescapes, and 3 decades of traveling around the world on tour - together we brought life back into this historical Mill and we cannot wait to share the experience with you!
