Large combined dining / living room with lovely dining area, where the family can gather for cozy dinners and board games, as well as a cozy area with corner sofa and wall-mounted TV incl. chromecast. The whole living room is accompanied by a charming wood stove, which is ready to cast its beautiful warmth and lovely light over any cool night. The large bathroom with shower and utility room with both washer and dryer can also be found on the ground floor. Entrance to the mezzanine takes place from the utility room up a steep ladder. The only thing missing are guests who can occupy the rooms, enjoy a game of petanque in the garden; gather around the outdoor fireplace to bake bread or meet for a cool drink on the terrace. The house was originally built in 1949, but has been completely renovated (2020) and therefore, appears nicely modernized and ready to form the framework for your next holiday. Posca markers are available if you want to decorate a few stones from the beach. You are free to take the stones with you, but please make sure to put the markers back before leaving the holiday home. NEAREST SHOPPING: Butcher 400 meters from the holiday home, Spar supermarket 700 meters from the holiday home. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION: Skagen Station 1300 meters from the holiday home. PLACES TO VISIT IN THE AREA: Rent a bike at one of the bike rental shops in Skagen and take a small excursion. There are plenty of things to explore in the area. A visit to Grenen, where the "two oceans and the world meet" is a MUST. Also take the beautiful bike ride from Skagen to Råbjerg Mile via Hulsigstien (bike path over Hulsig moor). Råbjerg Mile is Denmark's largest hiking dune and it moves approx. 15 meters a year. While you are in Kandestederne, a dip in the wild North Sea and subsequently a lunch or a cup of coffee with homemade cake at Hjorts Hotel is recommended. Of course you also have to visit the Skagen Museum, Anchers Hus and Drachmanns Hus, all in Skagen, to learn more about the great Skagen painters and see their famous paintings. Also visit the many artisans who have their exciting shops scattered around the city of Skagen, in Gl. Skagen and the harbor as well as the city's large selection of retail shops, exciting cafés and restaurants. For the children: Invite your parents along to the Skaterbanen at Kulturhus Kappelborg. Remember to bring your scooter or skateboard. In the same area there is also a large adventure course and a beautiful playground for the youngest. End the day with a visit to Skagen Bamsemuseum (teddy bear museum) by the water tower and buy a large ice cream in the ice café (Iscafeen) right next door.
