The stunning emerald tiles in each bathroom reflect the color of the river running outside. While enjoying a warm bath in a freestanding bathtub in the bedroom, you’ll be amazed by the bright moon above the peaceful river outside the window. “Moon River” is ideal for a large family(up to 16) vacation or a romantic getaway for 2. “Moon River” is a 5-star location: it has all the convenience of downtown living: walking distance to numerous restaurants, supermarkets, tennis courts, soccer fields, military museum, movie theater, chocolate factory, bakery and many shops. Yet it’s on a quiet street along the river, and a few minutes away from the Provincial Parks and wilderness. Ranney Gorge Suspension Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in Ontario. The beauty of Healey Falls vary tremendously every season and even every day. Many trails in Ferris Provincial Park are called hikers’ heaven. Rent a local pontoon boat or bring your own kayak, canoe or a paddle board flowing down the river, and it’s a moment of your life that you will never forget.

Julia Is great! Very positive and responsive to our text. This home is a little deceiving on the outside as it is older Victorian, but once you enter it has been modernized. Many updates including 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, large windows throughout and spacious rooms. Julia is obviously very modest as this home has more to offer than what’s listed. The two kitchens were great to have for our family as we were a group of nine. The back area of the home has its own living space Including the second kitchen, a very large bedroom with en suite. But the outdoors has a beautiful gazebo with projector screen, large table with seating, hammock, kitchen area, fire pit and garden. Ping-pong table, badminton area and bikes with helmets should you choose to go sightseeing around town. We were very pleased with our weekend. Stay Thanks again Julia, we’ll be back.

Julia’s home was beautiful and spacious. There were many areas for the family to congregate and spend time together. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had plenty of space for gathering for meals. She was also very quick to respond when needed. I would recommend her home.

We had a wonderful stay at Julie’s Moon River, the home was very beautifully decorated and felt very warm and fun. Really nice decorations and personality. Massage chair was a huge hit and help unwind from the drive. Really beautiful walking trails and lovely fire pit in the back. Very warm, lots of space but still cozy. Thank you for a lovely stay, we had a lot of fun!

Quiet neighborhood along the river.
Walking 3 minutes northbound from “Moon River”, you will reach the Lion’s Park: kids’ playground, mini bridges, outdoor bbq, 6 picnic tables under the gazebo can hold a big party. Ideal place for fishing and starting off the paddle boards.
Walking 2 minutes southbound from “Moon River”, you will reach one of the top three restaurants in town - the Dockside Bistro: the authentic curry lamb, 20 oz T-bone steak, 12-inch tall hamburger, and berry salad in an edible bowl are must try.
There are 3-4 parking spots on the driveway. Endless free parking spaces on the street no permit required.
There are a few breathtaking cycling trails along the river (see the local tourist map), and in the Ferris Provincial Park.
We do offer 3 bikes and 1 E-bike for guests to ride.
