The Raven dome sits on an upper deck with views of the Atlantic and the Cape Breton Highlands. Inside you have a queen bed with an option of futon so you can host four people or just have a cozy, couple's getaway. It offers a wilderness experience with glamping comfort aided by solar lights and a short walk to "glamper's" shower and washroom or a modern, windowed outhouse. On the lower deck is a picnic table and optional hot tub and sauna for a fee or as part of a package.

I lovely stay in a quite little dome!
My family and I loved our stay! Perfect for a glamping trip or even just an overnight stay! Nothing better than the heat from a wood stove and our pets fit in well! Bathrooms nearby approximately 2-3 minute walk, do not reccomend the outhouses though!

Cabot Shores is located in the small community of Indian Brook along the beautiful Cabot Trail. In walking distance, there are artist shops and a pizza place. Besides them, you're really on the edge of wilderness here. Further up the road are more shops and restaurants, but most of them close during the colder months. The nearest supermarkets are in Baddeck and Sydney (both roughly 45 minutes away), small grocery stores can also be found in Ingonish. So it's good to plan ahead and bring supplies if you're planning to cook for yourself.
Coming by car or bicycle is definitely recommended as there is no public transport here.

Formerly a "road warrior" in the software industry, he reinvented himself as the owner and operator of a Wilderness Resort called Cabot Shores on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. He writes often about adventurers, explorers, artists native Mi'kmaq, guides and worldwide guests who live in and visit Cape Breton.
