Milford on Sea is wonderful for anyone wanting to getaway but still be part of village action. The quirky, foodie village is a short walk away. The view from the cliff top offers superb views of the Needles on the Isle of Wight and there is great seaside walks to good restaurants and numerous places for quiet relaxing.

You can walk along the cliff top or go down to the vast pebbly beach and its cute beach huts, with secret sandy bits that are revealed as the tide retreats. The hideaway is a 10–15-minute walk into our quirky, foodie village of Milford on Sea. And it’s only a 10-minute drive to Lymington.
If you are keen to explore there is a wide variety of attractions from the beach, the wildlife reserves, the walks, the watersports to the wealth of great dining places.
Restaurants and spas are excellent here. Milford on Sea Village has Rays Italian (fab pizza), Salt Water (a breakfast fav), The Paddle, The Smugglers Inn, Verveine Fish restaurant, The Light House and various takeaways from fish and chips to Thai or Indian. Nearby there is Limewood Hotel and Spa, Chewton Glen and The Pig. All are award winning and superb.
You are on the coastal walk trail here and a 2 hour meander to the east along the sea wall will take you along pebble beaches, past marinas, bird reserves, freshwater lakes and into Lymington town.
Cycling from here is so safe to Lymington on the ancient highway, and the Lymington Saltwater pools (20 mins away) the floating 110-meter assault course is completely brilliant and mad. There are also various watersports available here for the more adventurous; sailing, Kayaking, Paddle boarding etc.
A walk to Hurst Castle (or short ferry ride from Keyhaven) can be blustery and has great views of The Needles and the castle takes some beating. There’s a little coffee hut there too. Keyhaven is also a great area for kayaking and paddle boarding – great fun for all ages. For younger kids there is great crabbing down New Lane.
