巴黎 · 整套民居 · 2室2床2.5卫 · 可住6人 · House of Pleasure in Heart of Paris
Welcome to Maison de Plaisir, well known architect of the era Monsieur Jandelle originally constructed this house some 117 years ago. It was built as his house of “Les Femmes Savantes’ a kind of French equivalent of Geisha House. It is certain that this house made many people happy! Located in lively and trendy Belleville - Buttes Chaumont neighborhood, surrounded with restaurants - and close to everything by foot, bike or a few minutes metro ride brings you to Louvre, Marais, Chatelet... Located at the end of the "Cite" in calm passage, the house is independent with garden. An outdoor patio to relax in lush garden. The ground floor has the main entrance, a large sunny living room, and fully equipped kitchen. Two large sofas in the salon, often become our two single beds, as we also love sleeping in the salon. A flight of steps brings you to first floor where we have a master bedroom with attached bathroom and a closet. The second bedroom has a queen size double bed and private bathroom too. Both rooms have plenty of sunlight, and are equipped with AC, linen, towels, sheets, and reading lamps. The entire house is great ventilation, and as its away from the road, it is calm and has clean air. Add to that Paris's biggest park Buttes-Chaumont is literally behind the house, and you will often see birds visiting our garden.
Belleville, birthplace of Edith Piaf, was once a hilltop village surrounded by farms and vineyards belonging to nearby abbeys.
Vibrant Paris 19th is easily accessible to all tourists sights and it's famous for fair priced great restaurants. That is the reason most Parisians choose to live in the lively neighborhood of Butte Chaumont. With many artists and designers moving in the area, its now trendy and a new Monmartre of Paris. Belleville was once a hilltop village surrounded by farms and vineyards belonging to nearby abbeys. By the time it was absorbed into Paris proper, in 1860, it had become a large town, reputed for its guingettes, vast establishments where hundreds of revellers came to eat, drink and dance.
This neighbourhood is far most culturally diverse area of Paris. If you walk a few hundred metres along Boulevard de Belleville, Chinese supermarkets and snack bars soon give way to Jewish-Tunisian couscous restaurants and, in the side streets around rue des Couronnes, corner shops sell plantains to their African clientele. Belleville has seen many waves of immigration over the past century. The most recent arrivals, in this era of spiralling property prices, are the bourgeois-bohèmes - bobos for short - a cosmopolitan crowd of affluent twenty- and thirty somethings.
Bobos spend their time on the terrasse of Aux Folies, the Belleville bar adjacent to the former Folies-Belleville cabaret (now a discount supermarket), where Piaf and Chevalier performed. They eat out in the cosy restaurants at the top end of up-and-coming rue Rebeval, and the arty boutiques that have sprung up along boulevard de la Villette wouldn't survive without them.
Walk everywhere! If not, the Public transport just few hundred feet away; with access to two Metro lines and City buses will bring you almost anywhere you want to go within the city. As we are located close to almost everything in Paris; we also recommend Uber or ChaufferPrive for the group of 3 or more. Because it works out almost the same as public transport. In short you can reach from 2 to 20 minutes your destinations within Paris.
