My stay was perfect in every way! The home itself, location, & hosts. The owners were responsive & informative, yet unobtrusive. Their knowledge & contacts provided that extra local feel & comfort, which is key in Costa. The entire design & setup of the downstairs apartment is phenomenal. The key to travel is to feel comfortable & at home, & they nailed it. The kitchen literally has everything needed to whip up breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Don't worry about bringing or buying anything; it has cooking utensils, blender, coffee maker, pots/pans, etc. It even has filtered tap water. The bedroom is quiet & equipped with plush king bed that provides a perfect oasis for relaxation. It has plenty of closet &storage place too. They have efficient A/C units throughout to cool down fast coming in from the heat. The hammock nap on the 2nd floor deck overlooking the ocean, the sunrises & sunsets, were simply blissful. I highly recommend the sloth life experience and adventure!

Our stay at the Sloth Life Beach House was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. We were blown away by how beautiful and extremely clean the apartment was. It's evident that the owners take great pride in maintaining such a pristine and inviting space. The tranquility of the location made our stay very quiet and comfortable, allowing us to fully relax and unwind. The king bed was incredibly comfortable and a real treat, while the gas stove in the kitchen was a huge plus and quite unique for Costa Rica, making our meal times even more enjoyable. The owners went above and beyond in being helpful, providing us with fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and hikes in the area. Their knowledge and friendliness greatly enhanced our experience. Taking a short walk to the beach to catch a gorgeous sunset was one of the highlights of our stay. It’s moments like these that truly encapsulate the beauty of staying at Sloth Life Beach House. I can't wait to come back

Our family’s stay at the Sloth Life Beach House in Playa Hermosa was a standout experience, perfectly blending the laid-back surfer chill vibe with the luxury of a private getaway. Conveniently situated close—but not too close—to the bustle of Jaco, it provides an idyllic escape for those seeking a more serene atmosphere. We stayed in the impeccably well designed first-floor apartment, which had easy access to the incredible shared second-floor beachfront deck. Honestly we never even had to share it because we had it to ourselves the whole time. It’s so well done, draped with a hammock and furnished with a table and chairs, the deck became our little slice of paradise where we absorbed the expansive ocean views and savored the sounds of the waves. It as amazing for sleeping too. No need for a fake sound machine when you have the ocean. Man what a place to stay. I needed a place for 1 night while my other rental was getting ready due to an overbooking incident. Anyway I'm glad it happed. When I got there I was met by Omar who was kinda my personal assistant. He offered amenities from Atvs to ziplines and everything in between. I did have one of there chiefs make me dinner that they offered. Amazing sushi! As I sat on the deck watching the sunset over the pacific (amazing deck with killer views) I watched surfers surfing these huge waves. Macaws flew by periodically its was a magical place. The master bedroom on the top floor is all glass and you can lay in bed and watch the waves crashing. The next morning when I was getting ready I noticed the kitchen had every amenity I needed. They had their own brand of coffee beans Sloth life that was free and it was amazing coffee made in Costa Rica which I thought was really cool. I took a quick dip in the pacific and walked the beach before dipping into the saltwater pool. W

Exceeded every expectation … The apartment: was very spacious with a luxurious and well-stocked kitchen. Every detail seemed to be considered from a full-size refrigerator w/ice maker, to filtered water at the faucet. Internet was also very vast and reliable. The views: the oceanfront deck was magnificent with uninterrupted views. It became my preferred spot for working and morning coffee. The sounds of waves were relaxing and inspired productivity. The pool: was a refreshing retreat. Bonus that it was salt water not chlorinated! The beach: was the pristine with soft-sand beach that stretches for miles, ideal for long, soul-soothing walks. A beach lover's dream! Sloth Life Beach House isn’t just a place to stay; it's an experience—a perfect blend of comfort, luxury, and nature's beauty. This is a destination that will not disappoint. Highly recommended for anyone looking to soak in the serene, oceanic ambiance while enjoying the comforts of a well-appointed home.
