The quintessential Cape experience. A charming cottage with oodles of character and spectacular views. We thank the family for warmly sharing their lovely property, the extensive research on dog-friendly venues, and the artistry of fresh-flower arrangements. And all I can say about Duane, “What a nice guy.” (It’s twue, it’s twue!) 😄

From the moment you walk into this one-of-a-kind Cape Cod cottage you feel comfortable and relaxed. This cottage will be the highlight of your Cape Cod experience. The view from the porch is breathtaking and it is the perfect place to relax with your morning coffee. The beds are so comfortable, the rustic classic Cape Cod decor is just perfect, and the kitchen is well stocked with anything you could need for a wonderful stay. It is perfectly located mid-Cape so accessible to all Cape highlights. Duane is so friendly, and gave us so many great recommendations, we tried them all and we so happy we did. We visited the French Cable Museum, the wildlife refuge in Chatham, the adorable town of Wellfleet, and rented a boat to explore the Town Cove were we saw harbor seals, lots of shore birds, and had the beach nearly to ourselves. It was the perfect Cape Cod stay.

This comfy cottage is the quintessential cape experience. Built by the hosts great grandfather, the cottage has a beautiful view of the water from every room. The screened in porch offers a shady place with excellent cross breezes to watch the tides come and go and the birds fly by. Duane has done a great job to ensure you have everything you need. There is extra storage in the bathroom for tooth brushes and toiletries. There are hooks everywhere for towels and sweatshirts. The furniture and the beds are comfortable and cozy even if you get a cold day. Duane is on the property and ready with recommendations of places to eat, walk, visit, or do. You can walk to Fort Hill which is a great place to see birds and other ocean and marsh views, but do watch for ticks - they are abundant. You can easily get to the rail trail by bike. Don't miss out on Viv's Kitchen in Eastham for breakfast. Sparrow's chocolate is another place you should visit. We had a great dinner at La Bella Vita (when we decided we just couldn't eat anymore sea food.) The pastries at the Hole in One bakery are a must also. We had a rainy week and I would highly recommend the pirate museum, the shark museum and the cape cod museum of natural history. Also, Kate's seafood near the museum of natural history has earned their "best onion rings ever" title. The cape cod ruben and the onion rings were AMAZING! We will for sure be back. This is a great place.
