The perfect getaway for a summer trip to the Mad River Valley! 5 min walk to Blueberry Lake and Mountain Bike Trails. 10 min drive to The Round Barn, Lareau Farm, Sugarbush Resort, and Skinner Barn. 45 min to Green Mountain National Golf Course & Killington Resort. Unwind after a day of adventure in the Mad River Valley. Laugh & share stories while preparing a meal in the open kitchen. Relax with a warm bath in the whirlpool tub. Gaze at the stars from the porch swing. Original Cabin (Left Side ~700 sq ft) - This side has a cozy quiet feel to it. - 300 sq ft Living room area with a kitchen. Wall mounted smart TV and queen size pull out couch. - Kitchen includes a popcorn maker, coffee and tea bar, and refrigerator. - Bedroom 1: Queen sized bed. Bedside tables include reading lamps with built-in USB ports for easy phone charging. Access to the back porch in the summer. - Bedroom 2: Queen sized bed. Private exit to front porch and backyard in the summer. - Short Loft: 2 twin blow up mattresses. Note: This is a very small non-standing loft. - Bathroom with whirlpool tub. - Office: This room connects the Left Side to the Right Side. It includes a desk that looks out to the front porch. Closet with assortment of kids toys. - Front porch with swing. (Great for sitting and sipping morning coffee or an evening cocktail!) Log Cabin (Right Side ~800 sq ft) - This side has a bigger open feel with log walls, large windows, skylights, and cathedral post and beam ceilings. - Open kitchen with counter seats for 3. (To keep the cook company!) Fully stocked kitchen. Dishwasher. - Washer/Dryer in cubby between kitchen and bathroom. - Bathroom with shower. - Kitchen opens to dining and living rooms. Dining table seats 6-7 (4 chairs & 1 bench seat). - Wrap-around couch with queen sofa bed. Smart TV. - Bedroom: Full size standing loft overlooking living and dining room. Large half moon window looks out onto mountain range and radiant skies (especially when the sun first peaks up in the morning). Skylight over the queen sized bed is ideal for starry nights. Custom built-in drawers and closets. Parking available for 2 vehicles. Must have 4 wheel drive. (In deep winter when snow is abundant one car may have to park in the lower driveway. During mud season (~ April/early May) both vehicles must park in the lower driveway. Please review rental agreement in the house rules section before booking.

The host has clearly gone out of their way to provide a tidy, comfortable place. The kitchen is stocked, bedding is clean, and cabin is well decorated. We had a great time. The host included lots of special details that made us feel very welcome. Fantastic.
Daisy went above and beyond as an Airbnb host. She was very responsive when I had questions about her place and she has so many thoughtful touches in her home, which really feels like a well loved family home that we were happy to share. She kindly left us some goodies and had lovely touches like fresh flowers. The space worked well for our group of 8 families, and was a short, convenient drive to Sugarbush. Plenty of hot water too! Thank you Daisy.
Possibly the best ski cabin i have been to via airbnb. The cabin looks identical to all the photos and checks off all the boxes. Tons of space, great kitchen, and friendly host. Moreover, you can tell the host took the time to tend to the small details (plenty of towels/extra toiletries, many kitchen tools, snacks, and even a mudroom for winter sport equipment). The only con is that the cabin can be a little difficult to access due to the unpaved roads, but if there is no or light snow the roads are manageable.
Daisy is a fantastic host. Her home is perfect for a family ski weekend. Daisy went above and beyond preparing her home for her guests. The house was well stocked with towels, linens, blankets and pillow. It was clean and well kept. Daisy has thought about every little detail that made our stay comfortable and pleasant. We even had fresh flowers! - such a nice touch. We’ll certainly check to see if her home is available on our next trip to Sugar Bush.
My family had a really great experience staying at Daisy’s cabin and the apartment across the road. She clearly took a lot of time and energy to think of every amenity that would make our stay more enjoyable. The basement area for ski storage, breakfast foods and snacks provided, clean space with many linens, and thoughtful touches all made our stay top notch. The only con is the snowy road getting up to the cabin, but Daisy was abundantly clear about that before we arrived, so we were prepared. We would definitely stay here again.

Ours is a quiet neighborhood and the cabin is in a private location being one of only 3 homes on Deer Rd. One home at the end of the road is unoccupied while the other is across the street and has an apartment that is also available for rent making the cabin and apt a fantastic private getaway for multigenerational families or larger parties that may also want their privacy while still having the option to gather.
It's recommended to have 4 wheel or all wheel drive to access the cabin in winter and spring. There are an abundance of all season activities within a 20 minute drive. In addition, Blueberry Lake and the Blueberry Lake biking and hiking trails are within walking distance.

This was my father's property that we spent my youth visiting for ski vacations & summer days at the lake. I loved Vermont so much I moved here after finishing High School and never left! It has been a family effort to revitalize the property, tend the gardens (which were my first gardens 20 years ago!), and to finish the projects my father started. It warms my heart to get to open this space for others to visit and create their own new memories!
