Our deepest thanks for sharing your vintage cottage with us. Having lived in the Northwest most of my life, I can say that this is a true NW experience. This area has been settled in the last 150 years. Your cottage is a part of that history. Unlike many such places, the cottage itself offers beautiful and peaceful views from everyone one of the beautifully framed windows. The cottage is an outside/inside experience. The cottage warms and nurtures, and everywhere you look, the dense forest surrounds you. The gardens meld beautifully into the forest. Springtime was filled with flowers outsides, with sweet arrangements inside. We slept so well, relaxed and explored the surroundings. My deepest thanks for sharing your family history with us.

Perfect location for this style of cottage. The fire place was the best ! Bed was comfortable and warm during cool nights.

What a peaceful and lovely place for a retreat! The space is actually larger than it looks in the photos. Lovely little tub, well appointed kitchen, and even a washer and drier. The bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed the nearby walking trails.

Such a wonderful retreat! Beautiful property, lovely area. I came here with my dog for some R&R and we had a great time. The neighors have a dog who came and hung out with us. I will give a heads-up, if you're tall like me, the ceiling above the shower is a little low! But other than that, a perfect stay :) would totally come again!

This property has been in our family for seven generations. In the early days, our relatives spent happy summers on the hill living in simple, utilitarian tent platforms while enjoying the woods and time together. Over the years, uninsulated bunkhouses, cabins and cottages replaced tents and eventually some family moved to live here all year round. People often say that the minute they step foot on the hill, they feel that it is very special. It is a place to rest, relax, rejuvenate, spend time with others, and enjoy the natural beauty of the woods. Truly an “old-school” Pacific NW retreat! We thoroughly enjoy our guests!
