Nestled between the barn and the milking parlor is The Creamery; a relaxing spot to spend a few days far from the rigors of the city. Here we made Dinah's Cheese for years, and now you can enjoy the sunrise from the comfort of your plush bed, warmed by the thick down comforter. The French Limousin cows may come up to your bedroom window, curious as to who is sharing the pastures this morning. The quiet will be startling, with little noise but coffee brewing in the kitchen. Originally designed as a simple masonry building built to house cheese vats and aging coolers, it has been transformed into a lush spot for you to call home. The views from the bedroom are of the cow barn and its yard; from the living room of the full upper pastures and the other farm buildings. The bathroom is a bright open space to relax and refresh in the morning. And a compact but very efficient kitchen is perfect for those days when you want to stay in, prepare a few tasty things for yourselves and enjoy your time together in peace.

Wow!! What a peaceful getaway and breath of fresh air! We had the cutest pup greet us in the driveway, big smile and all! The cottage is so well done and beautiful, had everything we needed to cook small meals, enjoy a meal or dice at the table. Bed was super comfy, cows were curious and great to hang with in the morning while having a cup of coffee. Super close to town and all the little shops. Would definitely stay here again! I don’t even know where to begin with this review! Everything in the cottage was beautifully designed and curated. Kurt and farm dog Scout were very friendly and helpful. The property is amazing and so peaceful. Our truck broke down in the first few hours of our stay and even that didn’t put a damper on the experience. We were able to walk into town for our anniversary dinner, and we walked down to the beach for fun as well(about 2 miles). Kurt included lots of extras in the kitchen and was very responsive to any questions we had. The light and overall design in the space is truly dreamy. We will be back!

Kurt’s place was amazing. We were looking for a peaceful and relaxing staycation and the home checked all the boxes. Beautiful scenery, wonderful location and close to town. We can't wait for our next visit.
The Creamery is a lovely place for a peaceful escape. You have the solitude and quiet of the country within a super quick drive to all of the local fun and food. We especially loved the serene aesthetic of the space and appreciated the delicious coffee, cream, and Topo Chico! Yum

Located just east of the town of Vashon on Vashon Island, the farm is just a two minute drive to the island's restaurants, stores and coffee shops. A few minutes drive the other direction is KVI beach, the nearest sandy spot on the water. The farm is located well off of the road and is very private and quiet.
Having a car will certainly making visiting Vashon easier, but it is a short few minute walk from the town to The Creamery. Local buses run both from the north end ferry dock and the south end ferry dock to town regularly during the day.
