This was a great place to crash while we were out and about with wedding events. It was perfect walking distance for breakfast and coffee in the morning. We walked to Ovo Frito Cafe and it was amazing. We also walked to Comida for dinner and highly recommend the food there. A quick Uber to Peckin Pig was fantastic. The slow roasted pork belly was to die for. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen amenities (coffee maker and fridge) were very useful. This is an old house that is fairly creaky. You can hear people walking above you during the night and early morning. It didn't bother us much but a sound machine might be nice for light sleepers. Also, the water doesn't taste great so bring some bottled water if you are picky about the taste of your water.

Pros: The unit is in a Quiet neighborhood that is easily accessible. The host is Responsive. We heard from her within 5-10 minutes each time., Proximity to Northwestern university was the dominant factor given we booked late. The large washing machine and dryer are a plus. There is a desk to work but the chair has no backrest. Cons: This is not a garden apartment. It is a basement apartment. If you are looking for a functional unit for a couple of days this can work. It certainly works if you are in Evanston for just a day for a college drop off. This is not a place to spend more than 3 days and it works for at most 3 people (if one is a child). The owner stays on premises in the house above but is quiet. Yet, this is an old house so you will feel any walking about above. The apartment has pretty much no natural light and there is a bit of clutter that could be removed. We also felt that there was too much of an air freshener smell around. No dishwasher or toaster.
