Wonderful gem! David, Genny, Christie and the team are so kind and generous, and their communication is amazing. Genny and her team ensure you are taken care of during your stay. The island is close enough by boat ride to the main town, but secluded and peaceful. It’s a joy to be able to snorkel in the ‘backyard’ at anytime of the day! (There’s a reef and corals with a lot of fish and some turtles). Dinners on the roof with awe inspiring sunsets and waking up to the birds chirping and the sounds of the ocean. Appreciated cooling off in the pool! I enjoyed the the snorkeling and lagoon tours they offered. Overall highly recommended.

We arrived here after a week on a remote island and stayed for 5 nights with our family and young kids. We appreciated the convenience of fast, reliable WIFI, a fridge, pool to cool off in and the large spacious house. We loved Home Reef. The kayaks were great fun and the shallow bay meant the kids were safe and could get a good look at the reef. Night snorkeling was a real treat and a memory that will stick with us for a long time. Bert taught us how to sail the Hobie Cat and that made for a great afternoon exploring the bay on our own. Island Hopping was a definite highlight - our 4 year olds could snorkel the shallow Lusong Gun Boat wreck! We went to the Lakes around Coron before all the tour boats - we had Twin Lagoon all to ourselves- spectacular! Genny certainly made sure we were well fed with delicious meals for the whole stay. The nightime heat took some adjusting to, but by day 3 we started feeling more comfortable. An awesome base to explore the region from.

David's place is the perfect getaway in Coron. We stayed there one week, choosing to base ourselves there to visit Coron, and are so glad we did! The accomodation is in a quiet location, with an active coral reef for some good snorkeling. We kayaked to Sand Island and its small beach directly opposite, and enjoyed many evenings sat either on the property's beach or rooftop enjoying the beautiful sunsets and night skies. The main advantange was the access to private tours. The location being central in Coron bay, and nature of small scale accomodation, meant that we could get a quick speeboat tour to many beautiful locations, away from the crowds (highlight being Lusong shipwreck and Coral Garden, the most beautiful corals and diversity of fish I have ever seen). Whilst not cheap, the 3 tour options were still invaluable experiences. Finally, the hospitality from Genny and the rest of the team was excellent. The communication was easy, trips easy to organise, and tasty food too!

We absolutely loved our stay at Sand Island and were blown away by the natural beauty of the spot. Highlights were snorkeling from the beach and seeing beautiful coral and fish variety (including a dolphin!) and some great bird watching moments from the roof deck. The location is out of the way, peaceful and immersive in it's natural beauty. Genny was an attentive and very welcoming host, and helped us to do everything we wanted to do during our stay. We particularly loved the island hoping to Coral Garden - a must visit if you can. We hope to return in the future.
