Carlos was a very kind and responsive host! the architecture of the home and some of its history is very unique! there is a coffee shop and some restaurants within a 10-15 min walk. We found the house to be a bit under maintained (couldn't use one bathroom due to plumbing issues) but Carlos was very responsive. I would say the house has character :) there are unique traits about it - some endearing and some inconvenient (not many windows open, there is a drop off from the living room floor to the flooring by the windows of about .4 meters, and the laundry room has to be open to open the fridge/freezer). obviously from the many positive reviews, these are offset for most people by the interesting architecture, natural lighting, the hosts amazing communication, and being away from the city feel of things. we've stayed in many Airbnb's in San Jose and this is the most unique for sure!
