This magnificent town in Monmouthshire can be found near the English and Welsh borders, on the southeastern edge of the Wye Valley AONB. Chepstow has a wide variety of shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, as well as a popular racecourse, all of which are bordered by the River Wye and dominated by its 11th-century clifftop castle, claimed to be Britain's oldest surviving stone castle.
