Located in the beautiful and quiet village of Prinsted, you are not far from the lovely town of Emsworth. Discover this charming bungalow in the peaceful village of Prinsted, offering a delightful getaway right on the harbours' edge. Experience the best of Chichester Harbour right from the doorstep with the coastal footpath running past the edge of the garden taking you on some great adventures. Spacious inside, with large windows making the most of the views, the bungalow offers a perfect base for relaxation and exploration. Just yards from the public slipway at Prinsted, you are able to launch your paddleboards or kayaks virtually from the back door and go for memorable adventures around Chichester Harbour, perhaps spotting the Emsworth seals! Enter the bungalow into the large and spacious entrance hall, which has a comfortable sofa, perfect for putting on shoes and preparing for the adventures of the day, as well as a large desk, should you be here for a change in scenery whilst you are working. On the right is the large kitchen, which is bright with large windows overlooking the garden, and offers a sea view behind. It is well equipped, with a large fridge and freezer, oven and electric hob, dishwasher and a large kitchen island. Smaller appliances include a kettle, toaster and microwave and a Nespresso coffee machine. There is a large dining table in the kitchen, creating a lovely space for spending time with friends and family whilst preparing meals. Through the kitchen you can also access the large sitting room, again with lovely large windows making this a bright space, overlooking the garden, with views of the sea behind. There is a large and comfortable sofa and two arm chairs and there is a large smart TV, offering all of the usual streaming channels - please note that you will need to use your own login details to access these. There is also a selection of books and games for those quiet nights in! The sitting room is also accessed from the hallway and further down the hall on the right is the master bedroom, with views over the garden and sea beyond. This is a lovely large bright room with a king sized bed and plenty of storage space with a large wardrobe and chest of drawers and a small table and chair set for enjoying some quiet moments with your book whilst enjoying the view. The twin bedroom is at the end of the corridor and this has plenty of storage space with large wardrobees and chest of drawers. There is also a handy wash basin in the corner. The large shared bathroom is across the hall from the bedrooms and offers a walk in shower, WC and basin. The washing machine is in the bathroom. The garden wraps around the side of the house closest to the waters edge and here you will find a table and chair set, though being right on the coast, be prepared for the sea breeze! There is parking for three cars on the right hand side of the drive. My property is pet friendly. Loo rolls are also provided for your convenience. Should you require more supplies, a Co-Op is just a 10-minute walk away on the main road.
A great place to stay, the view of the bay from the bedroom was gorgeous and it had some lovely walks. Great little garden to sit in if the weather was a little kinder. The bungalow was very clean, bed was lovely and decorated really nice. Lounge even with different styles of furniture it just seemed to go well together. Met the owners and they seemed really nice, would recommend this bungalow, All the basics catered for even the bathroom essentials including towels, shower gel and conditioner and of course toilet rolls. Kitchen supplies of dishwasher tablets, cookies and various teas and coffees. Great little place and superb location if you love to be able to look out on the bay and take a couple of steps out to walk on the path.
I asked to arrive a bit early on our day of arrival, jenny pass the keys responded by asking me to agree to a massive list of terms of conditions, which I didn’t do. Jenny pass the keys doesn’t have the personal touch that an individual owner using Airbnb has. I don’t like that. I never had a response about my request, obviously as a result of not agreeing the ridiculous terms and conditions. So, you provide no response and no personal touch.
A lovely comfortable home right beside the seawall, with amazing walks from the front door and direct access to the sea at high tide. Jenny was very welcoming and helpful with local recommendations. We loved it!
We had a lovely stay in Prinsted, the location was stunning and the house was very comfortable. My only feedback would be in the small details, there could be more amenities in the house (we run out of toilet roll, there wasn’t a shower mat or bathroom mat). Overall though we had a lovely stay and lovely time.
The bungalow is in Prinsted, a beautiful village on the shores of Chichester Harbour. This is a great place for keen walkers, bird watchers and watersports enthusiasts, and there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Prinsted itself is an exceptionally pretty village and there are a few cafes in the nearby marinas of Thornham and Emsworth. Emsworth is a delightful town, well worth a visit with its many small shops and cafes, as well as a lovely walk around the Emsworth Pond. Right outside the property is Prinsted public slipway where you can launch kayaks, paddle boards and small boats.
There are some lovely walks around the harbour down and you can walk to the Chidham peninsular, where there are stunning views of the picturesque and historical village of Bosham (but without the crowds!) which is famous for where King Canute tried to hold back the tide and also features in the Bayeux Tapestry! Bosham is well worth a visit, and it is a lovely long walk around the coastal path where you can soak in the views of the harbour and the Downs and finish off with an ice cream when you reach Bosham!
The Roman town of Chichester is 7 miles east of Prinsted and its pedestrian centre is home to boutique shops, cafes, restaurants, galleries and The Chichester Cathedral with its unique separate bell tower. Bird watchers might spot the Peregrine Falcons nesting in the tower.
West Wittering beach is a beautiful, sandy, blue flag beach and is in a Site of Special Scientific Interest. It is largely undeveloped retaining its natural beauty and there is plenty of parking. It is perfect for walkers, swimmers, paddle boards and kite surfers.
The Trundle is the highest point on the South Downs Way, part of the South Downs National Park, with spectacular views across Chichester Harbour and is part of the famous Goodwood Estate.
West Dean Gardens on the Midhurst Road is one of the greatest restored gardens open to the public in England - wander around the grand pergola or enjoy a walk through the historic Arboretum.
The Weald & Downland Living Museum, next door to West Dean Gardens showcases historic buildings, rebuilt brick by brick and set in beautiful downland countryside.
There is so much to see and do around this area, a car is advisable, however, there are buses from the main road and a train station in Southbourne, with trains to Chichester or Portsmouth.
