Cozy up in this private, one-bedroom, centrally located, upper apartment. Unique, peaceful, and affordable - Daniel’s Place is 3 blocks from the Riverlife walking path, leading directly to downtown, and 3 miles away from Granite Peak Ski Resort. Daniel’s Place is the perfect spot for weekend ski trips, city biking, trying local restaurants, farmers markets, kayaking, and exploring the city of Wausau. Come make yourself at home 🙂 The home you’re staying in was built in 1920. The upstairs was converted to 650 square foot apartment in the 1980’s. The rooms are on the smaller side. The kitchen is a bit outdated. Truth be told, there are certainly some imperfections. That being said, it is cozy, clean, comfortable, and best of all, affordable! If you’re reading this, please be kind and considerate when it comes to ratings (Airbnb puts a lot of value in them for hosts). I will do my best to accommodate any requests within my power!

We LOVED our stay! We felt so cozy and at home at Daniel’s Place. The garden & patio were so peaceful and the rental itself was SO CUTE! Daniel was very helpful and so kind during our stay! We can’t wait to come again 🤗🦋♥️

Daniel was an amazing host! He was very friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond. He said if you need anything please let me know, I'm happy to help and you could tell he was genuine. The place is super cute, very clean and had everything that we needed. We didn't spend much time there as we came for a quick night with plans, but it was so cozy I wished I could have enjoyed the apartment more. He had nice little welcome info along with suggestions on places to eat, drink and play. There was great parking, super cute little yard with the private entrance in the back. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to my friends.
My wife wanted to steal the bed and the bedding. So comfy. Old house but Daniel has done a great job. Will book again if we can!
Great host!! Clean house! Super responsive with messages! I was glad that Daniel was able to let me check in early then the time posted! Will definitely book again when I’m back at Wausau.

The neighborhood is one of the oldest in the city, and is quite safe!
Admittedly, it could not be described at the most fancy neighborhood as many of the old homes (such as the one you’re staying in) were turned into apartments.
The location is incredibly convenient, but you may hear the sounds of the city during your stay.
It is a very short walk to the downtown if you feel like exploring. The neighborhood is rather safe, and parking is plentiful.
If you walk west on Thomas st, across the bridge, there is a path that leads to the downtown area and the Riverlife Park.
The path goes through Oak Island Park, past The Isle of Ferns Park, past the farmers market (in summer), past the Whitewater Rafting Park (summer), and follows the water for approximately 3 miles.
It’s a great way to access some of the best downtown restaurants and busy bars.
