We are letting a room in our lovely historic Victorian. It is in the sweet spot between the famous clubs and bars of Dalston and the lovely old houses, nice restaurants and farmers markets of Stoke Newington, with an abundance of music venues, yoga studios and artisan bakeries right at your doorstep. When visiting central London, you will find yourself having multiple train stations and bus routes to choose from within walking distance. The room is large, bright and airy with original features including timber floor and fireplace. It has new double glazed timber sash windows and new blackout blinds. The Apartment has a spacious living room and adjacent kitchen with large table on the lower floor, and two spacious bedrooms on the upper floor with great views over London. We have lovingly repaired our home over the previous years and kept its quirky original features alive, while adding the conveniences of modern life: The old fireplace in the living room now houses a modern wood burner, there is central heating under the old floor boards, and the original window frames have new noise insulated double glazing to preserve a sense of calm in this busy cultural neighbourhood.

Ryan and Margit were wonderful hosts, provided us with a delightful stay in their beautiful and cosy flat, and made us feel at ease. The room was spacious and quiet, allowing us to enjoy tranquillity in the bustling city. The neighbourhood is full of great restaurants and is easily walkable, with grocery stores located nearby.
Der Aufenthalt bei Ryan war super und uneingeschränkt zu empfehlen! Das Zimmer war gemütlich und es fehlte an nichts. Ryan ist super freundlich und offen und bei einem weiteren Aufenthalt in London übernachten wir sehr gerne wieder bei ihm und seiner Partnerin.

A cozy spot in the city with plenty surrounding things to do. Shops, restaurants, bars. We loved it. Easy to get to bus station. I would certainly go back!

I am a well travelled architect - born in South Africa - schooled in Ireland - educated in Scotland - lived and worked in Sydney, Mumbai and now London. I am an active adventurer and am constantly find new ways to exploit all that London has to offer. Most recently it has been, camping in Epping forest, overnight barge trips up the Grand Union canal and partying at the Nottinghill festival. I try to climb regularly and am partial to a bit of ultimate frisbee on a Monday evening. Living a fairly nomadic life has meant I place great value on the kindness of strangers, I know the importance of having a quite comfortable safe space to retreat to when visiting a foreign city.
