Arthur's home is in a beautiful part of the world. It felt like a very special treat and is, as air bnb should be, a home from home. Our family and I loved exploring the local countryside, and there are so many beautiful historic sites that you can walk to through the countryside paths that it meant we ditched the car and travelled by foot. My favourite of the holidays was the circular walk we did to Avebury. The pub in the village is warm and welcoming, with good food and a lovely playground at the back for any young, enquiring minds. We also loved listening to the Penguin Cafe during our stay, and it was a treat to discover the connection. My husband very much enjoyed playing the piano, as did our son, who is learning to play. a very special holiday as I hit 40 while away. Thanks for a fabulous April break. Top tip take a snuggly blanket and a book although Arthur and his family have a very fine collection of books 📖

A beautiful little cottage, quirky and cosy. A lovely homely feel. Interesting collection of books and a lovely piano. Very comfortable beds. Arthur was really welcoming and friendly when bombarded with questions. He had already explained things thoroughly with Airbnb but was quite happy to help even so. All in all, we had a lovely stay and felt very at home. It was perfect for the five of us. We’re all very tall and knocked our heads a couple of times but that was really part of the charm. The cottage felt like a well lived in and loved place. I would love to go there again one day.

Fantastic place to stay. Well worth the money, huge garden, nice house with everything we could ask for. Felt like going to a holiday home rather than an Airbnb. Thank you Arthur for having us, would highly recommend

Great location for all that Wiltshire has to offer. Just to note that I got locked out as the front door slammed behind me, so future guests just make sure that you have the keys on you or the latch on the Yale lock is off - it swings shut pretty fast! Lovely cottage, very quirky, will be stunning in the summer and the views over open fields at the back are magical.

The cottage and grounds were absolutely stunning. We used it as a base to go walking around the wonderful Neolithic surroundings. When we arrived, the heating was all shut off, and it took about 2 hours for the place to warm up, which we weren’t expecting after a 4 hour hike. Got familiar with the log burner but a lot of the wood was damp, so not much luck.. The lights had also blown and we needed to use a torch (as it was dark), to find the fuse box and switch back on. The kitchen surfaces were clean but the rest of the place wasn’t really. Filthy actually. It was like folks got up, switched everything off then left, and we walked in. The dishwasher was completely full, of pretty much everything. Rammed full, almost like a spare cupboard as all other cupboards seemed full already. So we didn’t use it during our stay. The shelves in the fridge were also dirty, needed a clean. The floor is a little dangerous too. As it was dark in the place, I almost went down twice on loose bricks.
