Nestled along the banks of the ever-babbling Vandegriff Creek on 3.5 private acres, this renovated 1965 farm cabin is perfectly situated between Ellijay, Blue Ridge, and Dahlonegha. Enjoy the BEST attractions the North Georgia mountains have to offer, such as wineries, u-pick apple orchards, local festivals, the Cartecay River, fly fishing, waterfalls, hiking, national registered forestry, tubing, kayaking & more! Located in one of the most tranquil and scenic parts of the North Georgia mountains, this redesigned mountain cabin provides a serene respite for couples and families alike. Originally a farmhouse built in 1965, this home has been renovated and professionally designed to both retain the storied charm of the home's history while ushering it into the comforts of modernity. - 1.5 hr. from Atlanta - 30 min. to Ellijay - 45 min. to Blue Ridge - 50 min. to Dahlonega - 15+ min. to lots of orchards, wineries, hiking/biking trails, river tubing, and more. HOUSE: 1500 sq ft. with soaring ceilings in the open concept living area. Enjoy a custom kitchen that is well stocked with cooking essentials (reach out with questions about what is provided), dining room with a curated vintage and modern gallery wall, a reading nook with books and records, a game room with a Ms.Pac Man arcade console and tons of board/card/wall games, a smart tv, cozy furniture, and a pot belly fireplace that is currently under renovation and not available for guest use. Please note, this fireplace is currently unsafe for guest use and will be available after the restoration is complete. KITCHEN: - Gourmet whole bean coffee, coffee grinder, filters, creamer, and sugar provided - Coffee maker has a drip pot on one side and k-cup maker on the other. Or make your coffee in the French press. - 5 burner gas stovetop and oven, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator - Full sized kitchen with stainless appliances is the perfect place to cook meals for the whole group - Stocked kitchen with cooking utensils, Pots pans, dishes, etc. LIVING: - Smart TV ready for you to sign into your own streaming services - Reading nook with little library for your enjoyment while at the Cottage - Fast fiber Wi-Fi - As an accessibility note, there is a step up in the living room, as the kitchen and dining room is sunken from the living room space but open to view. GAME ROOM: - Ms. Pac Man arcade game - Tons of board/card/wall games for the whole group to enjoy! PRIMARY BEDROOM: - King bed with a garden view PRIMARY EN SUITE - Accessible through the primary bedroom - Stand-up shower and single vanity QUEEN BEDROOM: - Custom wood-clad walls and floor-to-ceiling curtains make this room a cozy spot for up to two people. - Luxurious carved four poster queen bed with forest view and medium firm memory foam mattress TWIN/FULL BEDROOM: - This fun room fits up to 4 people. - 1 full bed, 1 twin daybed, and 1 twin trundle bed. Note, the room is small, and the trundle only opens if one of the two doors to the room is closed. HALL BATH: - This bathroom services the two bedrooms opposite the primary. - Shower/tub combo and single vanity. - This bathroom does have a step down. Use with caution. There's a sign on the door to remind guests to use caution while stepping down into the bathroom. OUTDOORS: Outside the cabin, you'll hear the noisy babbling creek that runs along the side and front of the property. The creek has two natural waterfalls that are about a foot high. You and your group can also enjoy a game of corn hole or roast marshmallows in the fire pit, while relaxing in Adirondacks. We provide locally sourced firewood for the fire pit. You're also welcome to bring your own coal to cook your food on the grill outside and eat at the picnic table by our small garden. Please note, the land behind the fencing and the hills to the right and left of the house are private property, belonging to the neighbors and not available for guests to explore.
