Boasting the best of both worlds, this home not only highlights its historic roots but also features a list of modern amenities - making your stay comfortable. Some of these amenities include a private washer/dryer, partial air-conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, and internet access. A true focal point of Swallow Hill Manor is its brilliant outdoor space, surrounded by forest and mountain views. Let the furry members of your family stretch their legs, pick a bounty of apples from the seasonal orchard, or simply sit back and just enjoy each other's company from the patio. Conveniently you'll be within minutes of the area's best skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and sledding locations in the state! Delicious restaurants, vibrant shops, and numerous parks are also available to indulge in nearby. <b>Things to Know</b> Check-in time: 4:00 PM. Check-out time: 10:00 AM. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. Smoking indoors, hunting, use of fireplaces, and entry/use of the pool area are not allowed. This property is managed by Vacasa New Hampshire LLC. 2 dog(s) are welcome in this home. No other animals are allowed without specific Vacasa approval. <br/>Parking notes: There is free parking available for 6 vehicles. <br/>Air conditioning is only available in certain parts of the home. <br/>Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximun occupancy and quite hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices -not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors! Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
My family and I love Swallow Hill Manor so much that we've stayed there twice so far. Being able to have the dog come along is a big plus. The home is large with so many bedrooms and bathroom. The yard is massive with plenty of space to run around and play basketball. We chatted with the neighbor and learned there's a rugged, public access road that runs straight up the hill from the end of the road. If you decide to meander up, just keep to the road and out of the areas with No Trespassing signs. The road is the only public space. We've enjoyed the pub in Franklin, watching local whitewater sports, skiing uphill and downhill at Ragged Mountain, and XC skiing and walking on the rail trail. The main drawback is that Vacasa manages this property. This means I was communicating with a chatbot when trying to update the reservation. We were not informed late checkout was available. We had to call and talk with customer service to pay $50 for a late, 2pm checkout.
This was a beautiful, secluded old house with so much space inside and out for our family getaway! Two bedrooms downstairs made it easy for those who don’t want to climb stairs, plus 3 bedrooms together in one wing upstairs, and then a great “secret bedroom” (as we called it) with steps behind the front door. It was great for us with small kids that all the stairs could be closed off, and the kids loved the piano, toys in the piano bench, fire pit outside, and all the room to run in the yard. The kitchen and bathrooms were nicely stocked and there were plenty of comforters to keep everyone warm. Webster lake was beautiful to walk around even in the winter, and Tilton was close for day adventures. It was very sweet that the owners left some maple syrup as well! Our only wish was that there had been a sheet with history of the house as we would have loved to learn about it! Thank you for letting us stay in your house!
