Living in this treehouse has been the most magical experiences of my entire Costa Rican adventure. Nothing compares. If you want to be immersed in nature, struck with awe, this is the place. ‘Home’ was a platform of wood some 3 or so metres up in the trees accessed via a ladder, with 360-degree views of the jungle. No walls. You are part of nature here, close up. I awoke with the hundreds of birds living nearby, experienced sunsets with fireflies wafting in and out, and went to sleep with the whirr of insets. In the daytime I saw fantastic creatures and plant life. It's hard to describe the joy and serenity and energy this place brings. There’s a shared kitchen and shared food and company too if you’re in the mood. Marleen was so welcoming. She helped me transport my luggage to her property and was always available to help plus was a joy to spend time with. I feel like we’re family now. I never wanted to leave.

Staying with Marleen was a breath of fresh air. The place was in an amazing location. During the busiest week around Puerto Viejo, here we woke up to just nature and animal sounds. Marleen was very welcoming and kind with us. She offered her help when needed and shared with us her life and house with open arms. A bit off the path and out of the main road, but definitely worth the walk up!

The place: Never go here if you don't want to feel relaxed, happy, and live the caribbean. This place is extremely peaceful. You can experience the jungle life there. The host: Marleen is a very nice and natural woman. She made me feel that good that I felt the place like my home. Her dogs were very nice. We talked about many interesting topics.
