We had an amazing anniversary weekend at this property Kathleen is hands down the best host we have had. The week prior to our check in she was in contact to give us recommendations of how to have the best time and to make sure we were comfortable! When we arrived we were greeted with fresh watermelon, her awesome books and a cactus plant to take home. The cabin was homey, private, quiet, and had everything you could need and the beds were so comfortable! Kathy was always available for questions and had clear check in and out instructions. Belle and Holly the chickens were sweet and so great to interact with! We enjoyed the BB gun, corn hole, games and the wonderful variety of movies she provided! The screened in area is where we spent alot of time and saw a beautiful sunset. Added bonus is we were 45 minutes from SeaWorld, Orlando and 20 minutes tops from some great restaurants and stores and 5/10 minutes from hiking and gorgeous trails! Already planning our next trip to our fave spot

Very convenient location to grocery stores near by, yet privacy, solitude, nature, midway point from Disney and Beach, decorations in the cabin, luxury and openness of the Gazebo, wrap around deck, luscious spacious property, Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area, 33,000 acres, right across the road from Clear Landing / Cabin in the Forest. Nice fire pit area, Disc Golf, Daisy BB gun, to shoot at a red tin can hanging from a 100 year old Live Oak tree, for practicing some eye and hand coordination. Also, 5 minutes away from Orlando Wetlands which is the most spectacular place for birders and others to experience the wild of wading birds. 30 minutes away from Merit Island Wildlife Reserve. Opportunities are endless. Coming back to the landing where chickens greeted us was always a treat. Thank you Kathleen for creating a home with an unforgettable experience. Definitely a place to come back to.

I had my first impression of this experience before I even arrived: I was greeted by the smell of nature and clean air as I turned onto Taylor Creek Road, a tree-lined passage adorned with untouched earth and farmland. The property was tremendously charming. It was almost like walking around a small village main street—but apply that same feeling to staying in an Airbnb. From the chickens, to the sounds, to the knickknacks, to the abundance of books and movies. The experience of the property reminded me of simpler times. The cabin was adorable. It is pet-friendly and could’ve smelled a bit fresher. As another review mentioned, the water smelled pretty bad. The host was responsive and helpful. You learn a bit about her by staying at her property, and through the books she has authored (found at her cabin), you learn that she has lived an interesting life and has insight to offer. I sincerely hope that you have the chance to take part in the magic of this experience in your lifetime.
