This apartment and the impressive views that it provides is just a short stroll away from the beach and walking distance across the beach to Filey with its Edwardian architecture and selection of quirky shops. The coastal path leading from the property is perfect for walkers and provides easy access to the beach. There is plenty to do in the local area but if you fancy going slightly further afield then both Bridlington and Scarborough are just a short drive away. This attractive apartment near the quiet, coastal town of Filey is the ideal romantic retreat for couples. Situated close to Filey Bay’s vast sandy beach, it’s the perfect place to do nothing and relax. Alternatively, keen walkers can enjoy the far-reaching views from the wild and rugged Yorkshire coast path on your doorstep or water sport enthusiasts might prefer to take to the water in a canoe. To the south is Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast which is popular with wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers and has a nature reserve. Historians will also enjoy exploring the two lighthouses which are steeped in interest and history. Further afield, yet more treasures can be discovered in nearby Scarborough and Bridlington (both within 10 miles). Filey itself (a 3-mile drive and a shorter walk) is a lovely Edwardian town with quirky independent shops, a range of eateries and a museum; it is a little quieter than other towns on the Yorkshire coast, so it’s a great place to escape the crowds and unwind. This contemporary apartment is light and airy throughout. White walls and décor contrast with the odd pop of blue to create a classy take on the nautical theme, which is well-suited to its coastal setting. You enter the property via a staircase which leads into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which has amazing views of Filey Bay and Bempton Cliffs, meaning you’re never far away from the picturesque Yorkshire coast. At one end of the living space is a compact, but well-equipped, kitchen with stylish, white, metro tiling that bounces the light around. At the other end of the room, you’ll find two comfy leather-effect sofas, a TV and a small dining table. One of the sofas is a sofa-bed that would be suitable for a child. The TV is equipped with the whole Sky package and a DVD player, so you can catch up on all your favourite programmes. For those who like something more traditional, there is also a selection of games. The double bedroom is bright, yet restful, with a wardrobe and drawers for storage and a contemporary en-suite shower room and WC. All the rooms have been finished to an excellent standard and are clean and modern to ensure a comfortable stay. Outside, there is a shared lawn area with picnic tables for al fresco dining and socialising. There is also a private, enclosed, decked garden area with views of the countryside, if you want more privacy. There is allocated off-road parking for one car.
