Stairs from the bedroom take you to the lounge/diner, with its high, pitched ceiling and wall of shelving. It’s light, bright and a real home-from-home. Why not grab a book or a board game and switch off from work completely? The kitchen is a fabulous space that’s equipped for all kinds of cooking, quick and easy or more adventurous. A brilliant feature of this wonderful property is the dog-washing area, where you can rinse your mucky pups before bringing them inside. The cottage is set in the picturesque village of West Camel, where there’s a great pub and a lovely bakery. If you fancy popping your pups on a lead and exploring a historic town, Castle Cary, Bruton and Sherborne are all within 12 miles, while the National Trust’s Stourhead is 18 miles – there are four great walks around the estate to try with your hounds. Further afield, for a day at the beach or a coastal town, the north and south coasts are both reachable in around 30 miles.
