Electricity is supplied mostly by solar power, and water is provided by a bountiful borehole with good quality water. All of the soaps and toiletries are of natural origin. Our laundry detergents used for washing the bedding are biodegradable and enriched with various essential oils to support relaxation and a rejuvenating good night's sleep. The pool is cleansed by a UV filtration system to minimise the use of harsh chemicals. The estate overlooks valleys and mountains in every direction and boasts stunning 360 degrees views . The farm is located about 10 kms outside of the charming old town of Villiersdorp, which is called " the Switzerland of South Africa" because of the lakes and the mountains that surround it. In wintertime, one can enjoy views of the snow-capped mountains while sitting by the roaring fire. The surrounds are also perfect for hiking, cycling, and bird watching. One of the neighbouring farms is an alpaca farm. One can walk to it and experience hugging a fluffy cuddly alpaca. You can also take a variety of painting classes, some of them held in nature, with renowned Villiersdorp artists. In terms of exploring the area, the location of Villiersdorp is very central. One can get to a variety of destinations and activities on a day trip. The biggest dam in the Western Cape province called the Theewaterskloof dam is about 15 km away. It boasts a sailing club and a sports club. One can enjoy various water sports there as well as take sailing courses. Waterskiing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, and kayaking are part of the activities the dam can offer. Nearby, there is a picturesque golf course overlooking the dam.
