Rückblickend auf unseren Aufenthalt bei Josues unterkunft kann man sagen, dass wir gute und schlechte Erinnerungen und Erfahrungen gemacht haben. Angefangen damit das wir josue auf dem handy nicht erreicht haben und seine Wegbeschreibung nur teilweise richtig war. Als wir dort ankamen wusste die familie, die dort lebt und nur spanisch spricht, nichts von uns hat uns aber freundlich empfangen. Durch ihre Bemühungen wurde unser Aufenthalt sehr schön, josue jedoch ließ sich kein mal blicken. Die ranch, die eher ein kleiner bauernhof ist, bietet einen Einblick in das typische Leben der kubanischen familie ist jedoch viel zu teuer für das was man bekommt. Das badezimmer ist ein halb offenes Häuschen, dass kein funktionierende spülung und einen Schlauch als dusche hat. Auch die Anzahl der pferde und die Ausstattung war schlecht. Zusammengefasst kann man sagen, dass der preis zu hoch angesetzt ist es aber generell ein schönes erlebnis war.

The place is a little bit far from the main road, but finding it is not a problem. It is enough to know that farm is located on the top of the hill, so that at every crossroad you need just choose the road going higher. Speaking Spanish is very desirable.

The farm is a perfect place to relax, enjoy nature and farm live. Enjoy the great breakfast, lay in the hammock or make a walk to the playas del este. The family is adorable, even I didn't speak spanish and Josue is a caring host. And the mattress is the best in Cuba so far :) Hope to come back one day!

We really enjoyed our stay with Josue! The tent was much nicer than we expected, with a mattress and clean bedding and there was plenty of room for our bags as well. We arrived quite late, but were greeted by the family that lives on Josue's property. They offered us a delicious meal that we enjoyed outside the tent. In the morning we were also offered breakfast! The location of Josue's property is quite isolated, so make sure you check the map before you go. We managed to find it pretty easily though! Josue himself is the sweetest, most helpful person! He showed us around his property and spoke impeccable English. He drove us into the town and showed us where to go. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! Thanks Josue :)
