Chris's place is ideal if you're looking to relax and enjoy Matlacha! Close enough to walk to the main strip, but quiet enough not to be disturbed at all. Seriously, amazingly quiet. Plenty of room in the house to spread out. Wifi was fast too. Hot tub was perfect. Kayak was great. This place is missing nothing!

Had a wonderful stay at Chris's place. Matlacha is on the rebound, and while still a little "beat up", the location has some great character. It was easy to get to all locations around, and we did day trips to Pine Island, Sanibel, elsewhere with little trouble. Lots of groceries and pharmacies within a 10 minute drive. The only critique was that the place is quite dated, and although we only ran into the issue of the dishwasher screaming at us for some reason, it felt like everything is one small step away from breaking or needing to be replaced. Some of the lights / dimmers flickered, but we just stopped using the dimmers and the issue was addressed. The washer / dryer is quite new though, and it was very helpful during our stay. Overall a really nice visit, but only wanted to mention the "dated" issue in case anyone has some preconceived idea about what they're getting into. Chris was super helpful with recommendations, and I'd recommend his place any day.

Matlacha is a very nice quiet laid back community. Our home was nicely located for visiting Pine Island and the Cape Coral Naples area. Restaurants and shops within walking distance. Construction continues on the road/bridge to the mainland, but traffic flowed well . We enjoyed the hot tub below on a number of occasions. The home is very clean, bathrooms worked well. The upper porch was clean and chairs comfortable. We could tell the sea environment makes for some good cleaning after one week for outside the home! The kitchen needs some touch ups to the sink and kitchen tools if you plan on cooking at the home. Chris was responsive to our needs and I am sure he will update promptly. The dryer worked well. The washer was not working as leaked when we used it, but Chris was responsive right away and said he would send a plumber. We declined offer as we did not want to interrupt vacation but in end offered another day on him I believe as compensation! Would return again -property ideal !
