The two-storey cottage is situated on a narrow lane close to the main road that runs between Ambleside and Windermere. Its period exterior is beautifully complemented by its fresh and contemporary interior, with rustic soft furnishings scattered about bright, welcoming rooms. Entering via the entrance hall and come together in the comfort of the spacious lounge, which is the perfect setting for unwinding after a long day exploring Lake Windermere. Alternatively, enjoy a hearty dinner created in the nearby kitchen and serve it in the large, naturally lit dining room. A pleasant night’s sleep is assured in the ground floor’s king-sized bedroom, which stands only a few steps from a shower room. Head upstairs and you’ll discover three versatile bedrooms: an en-suite king-size bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom – along with a family bathroom. Access to the rear patio garden is through French doors in the lounge, and this outside space with stunning mountain views is the perfect venue for al fresco dining throughout the day. The heart of Ambleside (500 metres) offers a range of activities for guests of all ages, along with dog-friendly pubs, cafes and shops. The vastness of Lake Windermere (0.5 miles) is best viewed from either on the water or from one of the surrounding peaks. The Langdale Valley (3 miles), home to Elterwater Tarn, is a must for passionate walkers and photographers.
