I cannot think of a more cozy and beautiful place to spend our Thanksgiving!! We had family meet here from FL and CA to spend the week together and it was above and beyond what we expected. Janet’s home is situated in an idyllic neighborhood amidst rolling hills and colonial homes. The sprawling property can been seen from the ample windows in every room and the manicured grass areas were perfect for football in between food :)! The living space is so comfortable and classy and made even better by the wood burning fire warming up the room. All the beds were comfortable with quality linens. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. The massive dining table made for a truly special place to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. The many pieces of antique furniture and beautiful pieces of art really fit the character of the historic home. Coming from our warm climates, we truly felt like we were transported into the coziest holiday location possible! And Janet was a truly delightful host!

Janet and her husband were wonderful hosts during our long weekend at their home. They were very responsive to any questions we had and their home was perfectly suited to our needs. Everything you could need to host a large family gathering was provided and my group felt right at home. If we're ever in the area again, would stay at this house again in a heartbeat!

This is our third time renting Janet’s beautiful Connecticut home and it is better than ever! Each year we come back there have been amenities added and upgrades made. Janet is a very responsive and helpful host and I cannot recommend this property enough!

Everything we hoped for, and much more! From the moment we walked into the house, we knew that we had chosen well. The home is beautiful, clean, spacious, and packed with amenities, from well thought out instructions, well labelled light switches, good wifi, whole-home audio, and many, many more. I haven't even mentioned the kitchen... :) The kitchen is beautiful, enormous, and excellently stocked with just about anything you would need to cook for many folks. We prepared a chicken parmesan dinner for 20 with ease. The bedrooms were roomy and the beds comfy. Fresh linens on all beds and plenty of clean towels for all. Janet was a great and flexible host. She was very receptive to questions and provides a comprehensive list of nearby resources. The only request I would have for next time would be for her to do something about the tropical storm that chose to spend the weekend with us. ;) If you are looking for a beautiful home in a great area, this is the one for you!
