Unwind at this historic and tranquil adobe casita in the heart of Barrio Viejo. Built in the late 1800’s this spacious 1 bedroom, 1 bath casita has been completely updated, yet retains its rich heritage and charm! The fully stocked kitchen leads to the roomy dining and living room space. Private patio looks out to the herb garden and backyard. Fluffy organic cotton towels and bed linens. Private entrance and private parking space for one to two cars. NOTE: Ask about the adding a second bedroom! Casita Pascale is named in honor of Giovanni “Juan” Pascale, an Italian-born carpenter that built a complex of adobe homes that includes the Casita back in the late 1800’s. The Pascale family retained ownership of the parcel until the 1940's. It is a classic example of late 19th-century Sonoran rowhouse architecture. As such, you will note the house has lots of front doors, and while they are usable, they are not really used. The norm is to enter and exit the house from the garden area.

Sue’s place is charming and comfortable. Great kitchen. Perfect bed. Fantastic location. Such a pleasure to meet Sue and stay in her unique home!!
Did a birthday staycation and fell even more in love with Barrio Viejo. Sue’s place was thoughtfully decorated and well equipped. We didn’t use the car at all while there and took advantage of the great location to walk around the historic neighborhood. Coffee shops, bars and brunch spots are all within a 5 minute walk of her place. Sue was also very responsive and accommodating.
I want to come back as it exceeded my expectations! Plus so sorry the stay was so very short! Thank you. Ps Loved the curtains - all the sets!
Our stay was sheer delight for us. Sue, the rental, the neighborhood all charming. A relaxing and an informative stay. We would go back in a heart beat. It might be good to know that the bed is high . Might not work for someone with mobility issues even tho a little step stool for one to use. The shower has wonderful water pressure . We hope to return again and again.
Great location and nicely decorated, but could use a bit more function over form. Back patio of this unit was used by owner early mornings, someone else was staying in the backyard camper, and the front door opens directly on to the street so not a lot of privacy. Sue was responsive, but the TV was inoperable and there were basics lacking in the kitchen and bedroom that hindered functionality. A few tweaks and this will be a great stay!

Conde Nast Traveler's List named Barrio Viejo a "Top Place to Go in North America in 2024." Barrio Viejo is set to receive a National Historic Landmark designation this year, recognized for its large concentration of late 1800's adobe homes and buildings. Galleries, cafes, businesses and residences populate these adobes, and all within striking distance of Downtown.
You will see lots of people out for a walk, often alongside their pooch, in the neighborhood. You can easily walk to the Convention Center, Downtown, and if you are in Tucson for the Gem Show, to the 22nd Street venue. Your visitors will easily find street parking.
