Honey & Ritual is a small, boutique bed and breakfast-style accommodation that offers 2 rooms lovingly designed and decorated. The rooms are ideal for either a couple travelling the road together, or for someone walking a path of their own. The Honey Suite is a light and spacious room with a queen-sized bed and the Frida Kahlo Writing Studio attached to work, read or write a poem. Parents can easily convert the writing studio into a small sleeping quarters for your little (to medium-sized) one. The building was built about 40 years ago by the owners themselves so it is a quirky space with lots of character! The place used to be a kindergarten before I moved in and there are still some refurbishing to be done, but in general, it's a comfortable place to be. There are 2 floors at Honey & Ritual. Downstairs is the guesthouse with 2 rooms (Honey Suite and Mar Oculto) and a shared bathroom and kitchen that, as you can see from the photos, are outside. Umbrellas are provided during rainy season for the quick dash to the toilets! My partner and I live upstairs in a separate apartment, but I'm only shout away if you have any questions! Please keep in mind that we don’t have hot water, which is normally fine as the weather is so hot but depending on the season it is known to cool down at nights and in the morning a cold shower can feel a little “invigorating”. There is no air conditioning in the rooms. Just overhead ceiling fans. The rooms stay reasonably cool but in April or May it can be quite hot at night. I have a dog Tai who likes to bark when you arrive and then lick you. And a cat, Sacheen Little Feather, she’s somewhat of a sprite so if you see her, you’re a lucky one! It's been a lot of work and time to get to where we are and your stay helps to continue to make improvements to the place - so you are inextricably linked to the history of Honey and Ritual. And for that I am very grateful.
