Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Surrounded by amazing views, including Hope Mountain one side and the remains of the old viaduct nestled in amongst trees the other side. Set within the grounds of the Hall, the accommodation provides a peaceful retreat. Just 13 miles from Chester, 17 miles from Chester Zoo and about an hours drive from Snowdonia. Lots of great walks in the area, also 'One Planet Adventure' is nearby offering mountain biking, walking and trail running. The Lodge is set within the grounds of our home, the space is situated above our garage and provides open plan living accommodation. The bed is a 5' double bed. There is ample parking on the gravel to the side of the garage. The entry is accessed via some steps then onto a wooden slope. There is Wifi. There is also a travel cot and we can provide a high chair upon request. We have recently moved to North Wales so we are still learning about this beautiful part of the world. The trickle of the near by stream provides an ongoing sense of tranquility. The views from The Lodge are stunning. You should come see for yourself! We are only next door if you need us, so we are always on hand. This is the perfect setting for a peaceful break away.
Really enjoyed our stay. The place was spotless and as described on the listing. Would definitely visit again
Highly recommended The Lodge for a peaceful stay. Katie is a great host and we were made so welcome. Beautifully decorated and thought out space with such natural light. High standard throughout and everything you need is provided. Dog friendly and dog welcoming too.
Absolutely outstanding! The apartment is beautiful, really high spec fittings, fixtures, furnishings and facilities. Super clean and spacious, way bigger than expected (the photos do not do it justice). The welcome pack is excellent, really helpful and it was lovely to see past reviews. And sofa throws and towels just for the dogs! People after our own hearts! The throw was so soft and plush, I nearly slept on it! 🤣 We will most certainly be booking a return whenever we are in the area. And sorry to Katie for accidentally leaving a couple of tubs of peas in the fridge (sorry!).
This place is fantastic and is within a stunning location with a wonderful host. Seriously couldn’t have asked for more. It was so spacious and clean, and set out so well! with beautiful scenery to compliment the apartment. Fantastic stay for my partners birthday! Just wish we could have stayed longer. Katie the host was also lovely and was so friendly and helpful throughout our communications. We will certainly be back again soon! But next time for longer! What a gem! Thanks for such an enjoyable stay! :) x
The tiny, beautiful village of Ffrith resides, serene and tranquil amongst the woods of the valley where the Nany-y-Ffrith stream flows into the River Cegidog. Overlooked by nearby Hope Mountain, its relative isolation and beauty belies a busy industrial past, stretching from the small-scale Mesolithic production of flint knapped tools, through a considerable Roman occupation and on to the Industrial Revolution of the 19th and 20th centuries.
There is a local park with a community centre and children's apparatus. Lots of beautiful walks to take with the viaduct in the centre of the Village. We also have a micro brewery called The Poachers Cottage.
There is a train station in Cefn-y-bedd, Caergwyle and Hope with links to Chester and Wrexham.
There is a bus service from Ffrith to Mold and Wrexham. The bus stop is situated at the other end of the village past the Poachers Cottage, opposite Cymau Lane.
