Walk straight out to the deck from the living room to take in the peaceful and scenic views. There is plenty of sitting space outside to peacefully enjoy your morning coffee and evening cocktails. Spacious master bedroom includes a remodeled en suite bathroom. Kitchen includes an island with stools which make it a great gathering place while preparing meals and enjoying family time together. Walk down the stairs to your own private dock where you can enjoy fishing, kayaking, swimming, and complete tranquility. In the fall observe the leaves changing colors and take in the crisp, fresh air. This is the perfect place to leave all the stress of day to day life behind and return home relaxed and rejuvenated. If you find the steps too steep to walk back up, you can follow the dirt road behind our tiki bar out and it will take you out to the main road where you'll turn left to head to the house.

Nestled in the Woods is as described and the host was proactive with her communications. Water access, dock, and wooded surroundings was what we were looking for and that’s what was delivered.
we had the best time- we booked this cute little home for thanksgiving & ended up not even wanting to leave! 🤭 corina was more than a “super host” - we can’t wait to come back when it’s warmer & really enjoy the lake & do some fishing.
Smell of sewer in hall leading to bathroom and bedrooms we shut all the doors. We were planning on grilling filet mignon. Grill had no propane. She was so rude and told me 2 different stories but apparently the last guest had an incident. Told her she should not advertise a grille and fire pit if we can't use it. Outdoor furniture was plastic chairs and a dirty picnic table. Water was stagnant and 114 stairs to get there. The only thing that was good was the master bed. I needed sleep...that's the only reason we stayed 2 nights. Dirty pots and pans. After not being able to grille we made tuna but it took 5 minutes to open the can because the can opener was 10 years old. It was my birthday...I was NOT happy
The home is away from the city (recommend you travel 24 to go to Roanoke, as there are less tight curves, but still many deer for those traveling at night) and nestled in the woods. The peaceful nights guaranteed deep sleep that I haven't experienced in 15 years. Corina provides all the utensils, plates, and cookware that you may need for your stay. The view of the lake is beautiful. The deck provides a wonderful space to sit and read or just relax in peace. I never made it to the dock. I have bad knees, and not seeing a handrail, I didn't want to attempt it. There is a nice wooden step path down to the dock and lake. It is a bit of a jaunt, but if your body isn't one to complain, it would be definitely be worth it. I had a wonderful time, and would definitely recommend this home. There are some loose dogs in the area, which is not controllable by the host. I didn't have any issues, and mention only for those who are wary. Cozy, relaxing, and peaceful!
