We ended up, needing a place to stay very last minute, and the host was so responsive when we booked literally hours before we arrived. It was also more difficult to get to the original booking in the dark per host, so they generously upgraded us to get to an easier Cabin! So sweet, we appreciated it. Love the place, beautiful surroundings.

I loved my stay at the Doc Holiday Cabin. It is a cabin, so a little rustic (looks exactly like the photos), and Cheryl keeps the place extremely clean. Cheryl provided thoughtful little extras like popcorn, coffee for the coffeemaker, a first aid kit, and even a bottle of wine. The only thing I'd add to the cabin would be a little floor or table lamp so there is an alternative to the bright ceiling lights. The location in Hico is great, you can easily walk to the main street where the restaurants and shops are if you're not in a rush, yet the cabin is in a quiet, private area.
