It’s all about the front porch — sunrise, schooners and moonrise. We really enjoyed our stay in this cottage. It’s a summer camp feel, and fairly creaky, but has lots of charm and a great view. Very steep, narrow stairs are a drawback.

We loved staying at this cozy charming home. It’s right on the water and very peaceful. The kids had a great time playing there and even made friends with the visiting neighbors. The home has everything you need and Joan was a great communicator- very lovely and treated us as though we were her own family ☺️

We had an incredible week in South Thomaston at this beautiful family cottage. The cottage itself was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The real beauty of this listing was the location and the view from the porch. The property is right on the water and has nearly panoramic views of the ocean. The cottage is also a quick drive to a variety of small towns with tons to do and explore. We cannot wait to stay here again! In the area, make sure you go to McLoon’s Lobster Shack in Spruce Head, LuLu’s Ice Cream in Rockland, Owl’s Head Light State Park for light hiking and incredible views, and Birch Point Beach for beautiful sand beaches. That being said, you could easily spend your entire trip just enjoying the property from the porch.

Stunning location....quintessential Maine cottage on a lovely cove with gentle waves. Great place for kids. The more rustic cottage was well supplied and comfortable, with gorgeous views out most windows. The porch was a perfect place to relax and admire the view but you'll want your insect repellent!

This cottage is a family treasure, clean, simple cheerful. For an escape and a real slowdown, it's excellent. Sit on the porch, steps to a beach, sleep to the sound of water and birds. It is a family heirloom, and the love for family comes through. It is near lots of places to hike and eat and visit, but maybe best for sitting on the porch or beach and just reading and being present in a peaceful part of Maine.
