The Pond House, a Waterfront retreat is located in Essex a few minutes from town. The house is located on a pond, on 3 acres in a private country setting, the property has park like grounds; multiple fire pits with sitting areas, hiking trails, fishing, access to kayaks and row boat on the pond. This is a perfect place for relaxing, have some tranquility — we’re offering a retreat that’s peaceful in a quiet and relaxed environment with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. “The Pond House” is a Waterfront wildlife sanctuary. The Pond House is the perfect mix of luxury and nature. The property offers water views from almost every room and is a picturesque retreat during every season. Here you can relax, kayak, hike, soak in the hot tub, use one of the many fire pits, roast s'mores, photograph nature, bird watch, fish, read, write, meditate, explore the private pond and more. There are restaurants, wineries, breweries, nature trails, beaches & parks, quaint shops, indoor and outdoor activities, museums and theaters!

Looking for a place to unwind and uplift the soul? Look no further than The Pond House and its lovely host Terry Lynn. The house and picturesque, idyllic pond are the stuff of impressionistic dreams—a tranquil retreat, a beacon of light to guide you on your journey. Immaculate, 5-star-hotel–quality bedrooms with luxurious appointments (I stayed in a huge room overlooking the pond, with a private bathroom that had a double-head shower and river stone floor!). Terry Lynn is an amazing, consummate host—gracious, kind, generous, with a free-spirited aura. Another couple also was staying the weekend, and we all hit it off. Morning conversations over homemade cappuccinos and blueberry muffins were delightful—lively, organic and fluid! All the stars, number signs and animal totems were aligned as fate led me to The Pond House. Thank you, Terry Lynn! You and your Pond House are AWESOME! Definitely coming back for more stimulating fireside and kitchen chats with new-found friends!
The Pond House is as beautiful as the pics if not better. The surroundings were peaceful and serene. Always waking rested and greeted with a smile and a cappuccino! The pets are friendly, super well behaved... and the rooms are super clean and the linens and towels were top of the line luxury. The entire house and property are pristine. There is really no need to go anywhere when you have it all here. We shared cooking and wine and had lots of laughs. Terry Lynn will give you as much space as you like and will also be interactive with you which is nice.The property has many places to just sit and read or just enjoy the beauty of the pond. There are osprey and hawks that live here and egrets and herons and its just splendid to sit and watch nature all around you. At night we had fires near the pond or on the terrace. It is a magical space for sure. For me, it was of great need to have a space such as this to have quiet and privacy and to just be. I will cherish my time at the Pond House
Terry and Giovanni were very friendly and made me feel at home. The home was spotless. I especially enjoyed my coffee down by the pond in the mornings. My stay was very relaxing and the best stay of my several Airbnb experiences. I'm very much looking forward to returning to the Pond House in the near future
Beautiful house and property, quiet surroundings in a very nice historic town. Very well kept and clean home. Friendly hosts accommodating. Would definitely like to return again someday
